Service captain, is responsible for managing the dining experience and overseeing restaurant operations. Their duties include:
Greeting guests: Welcoming guests when they enter and thanking them when they leave
Seating guests: Proactively seating guests
Taking orders: Taking orders and presenting the menu to guests
Making recommendations: Explaining menu items and offering recommendations
Serving food and drinks: Serving food and drinks to guests if needed
Handling complaints: Addressing customer complaints and requests
promptly and courteously
Training staff: Training and mentoring new staff members
Managing inventory: Managing the inventory of food, beverages, and supplies
Ensuring food is delivered on time: Timing dishes effectively to maximize the dining experience
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations: Ensuring all staff follow food safety and food storage guidelines
Maintaining cleanliness: Maintaining restaurant cleanliness to meet regulatory sanitation and hygiene standard.
