Purchaser plays a vital supporting role in the procurement department of any organization. This position typically involves assisting in the process of acquiring goods, services, or raw materials required for the company's operations. The responsibilities can range from administrative tasks to more strategic roles, depending on the size and structure of the organization. Below is a detailed description of the job, including typical duties, required skills, and the rationale on each responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all procurement related activities such as raising purchase order, corresponding with suppliers and sourcing for materials and equipment
• Liaise directly with warehouse personnel to effectively monitor, and replenish various raw materials and packaging materials for the daily operations
• Involved in resolving issues related with material quality, specification and quantity with vendors
• Assist in preparing and checking of import documents, to ensure timely customs clearance of goods
• Ensure and maintain proper record and filing & records system in department
• Other duties assigned

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Purchasing and Logistics Management, or equivalentProficient in MS Office
• Good communication and interpersonal skills , with ability to interact with all levels of staff
• Demonstrates sense of initiative with the ability to work independently and as a team player
• Prior experience in purchasing/sourcing will be a plus

Working Hours:

• 8:30am - 6:00pm (Mon- Fri)
• Transport Provided at Pioneer MRT
• Medical and dental benefits
• Immediate Starter
