Responsibilities:
· Take charge of design projects with minimum guidance such as design concept creation with internal & external context in electronics industry and communication design work for asset & digital contents creation of marketing communication for the enhancement of Sony Design’s value
- Carry out design work in a self-directed manner within your team, under the guidance of the head of communication design department
- Deliver design for all stages of the customer journey
- Deliver design that spans project phases: concept to market (sketches, mockups, low and hi-fidelity comps, guidelines, market-ready assets)
· Responsible for the quality of the design output
- Explore multitude design directions in a quick repetitive fashion
- Produce outstanding design solutions that communicate clearly
- Maintain visual design language that is consistent with brand
· Take responsibility of the time management of the projects
- Plan and manage project schedules independently
- Proactive in arranging review meetings with mentors/ managers in a timely manner
- Deliver work on or before pre-agreed deadlines
· Communication with stakeholders with advice from managers
- Work collaboratively with other designers, project managers, and marketing colleagues from diverse nationalities and backgrounds
- Communicate design ideas, concepts and strategies clearly and effectively to team members and clients
- Communicate design requirement and ideas with Japan HQ
· Possess bandwidth to take on projects beyond own expertise
- Produce high quality output in disciplines outside of communication design
Requirements:
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in communication design and equivalent qualifications
· Minimum of 5 years of professional communication design experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment.
· Design experience in the consumer electronics industry will be highly advantageous
· Strong visual design foundation (typography, colour, layout, etc.)
· Expert proficiency in leading design software (Adobe Creative Suite)
· Video editing, motion graphics, 3D modelling & rendering, interior/event/space design, illustration, UI/UX design, qualitative research capabilities a plus
· Able to work independently with minimum supervision
· Possess proactiveness and self-initiative in improving design quality and processes
· Detail-oriented and highly organized
· Desire for continual learning and self-improvement
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Strong project management skills
· Overseas travelling may be required
· Proficiency in the Japanese language (JLPT N1) is strongly preferred to liaise with Japan HQ and Japanese management personnel based in the Southeast Asia region
