We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our fast growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the retail company's operations across both online and offline channels. This role involves integrating and aligning the company's omnichannel strategies to drive growth, enhance customer experiences, and ensure operational efficiency. The COO will lead operational teams, implement innovative strategies, and manage processes to deliver a seamless and effective retail experience across all platforms.
You will also be responsible for:
- Omnichannel Strategy and Integration:
Develop and implement integrated operational strategies that support both online and offline retail channels.
Ensure a consistent and cohesive customer experience across physical stores and digital platforms.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align omnichannel strategies with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations across all retail channels, including stores, e-commerce, and fulfillment centers.
Optimize store operations, including layout, staffing, and inventory management, to enhance in-store customer experience.
Manage e-commerce operations, including website performance, online merchandising, order fulfillment, and customer service.
- Supply Chain and Logistics:
Manage and optimize the supply chain to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products across all channels.
Oversee inventory management for both physical stores and online platforms to balance supply and demand.
Implement and manage logistics and fulfillment strategies, including warehousing, distribution, and last-mile delivery.
- Customer Experience and Service:
Develop and execute strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty both in-store and online.
Implement and manage customer service standards and processes across all channels to ensure a high-quality experience.
Utilize customer feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
- Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and manage operational teams across retail stores, e-commerce, and fulfillment centers.
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the operations team.
Develop training programs to enhance team skills and ensure effective execution of operational strategies.
- Financial Oversight and Budget Management:
Develop and manage operational budgets, including costs related to stores, e-commerce, and supply chain.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability, to achieve financial goals.
Implement cost control measures and optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Technology and Innovation:
Leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience across all channels.
Oversee the implementation of retail management systems, e-commerce platforms, and data analytics tools.
Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards across all operations.
Identify and manage operational risks, including legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.
We would want to speak with you if you are / have –
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in retail management, including experience managing both online and offline channels at a senior level.
- Strong knowledge of omnichannel retail operations, supply chain management, and customer experience strategies.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams across multiple channels.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, financial performance, and cost control.
It would be great if you have:
- Experience in a multi-channel or omnichannel consumer brand environment with a focus on integrating online and offline operations.
- Familiarity with retail management systems, e-commerce platforms, and digital marketing strategies.
- Proven ability to drive technological advancements and innovation in retail operations.
