The responsibilities of this role are:

• Design and teach labs & practice modules

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

• A good degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous.
• At least 10 - 15 years of working experience in chemical processing, quality control, and characterization with an expertise in organic/inorganic chemistry and biopharmaceutical synthesis and modification.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, NMR, and related methods, with a focus on biopharmaceutical analysis.
• Operational Knowledge in unit operations (for e.g. Heat Exchanger, Distillation Column, Reactors, Cooling Tower etc).
• Practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Engineering standards including but not limited to ISO9001, OSHA and BSI etc.
• Practiced in Chemical Process Design software (for e.g. HYSYS)
• Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to the University
• Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems.
• Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment.

• Lead and support GCM transition activities for HT facility, and main operation in ensuring cleaning activities are done efficiently up to company operation standard before handing over to maintenance

• Support the shift team in multiple aspects of operation consisting of off-spec PVA blending, chemical loading/unloading, chemical preparation and GCM cleaning
