Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create manufacturing process (routing) and procedure (work instruction) per engineering BOM, quality plan and manufacturing process requirement.
• Design tooling and fixture as manufacturing process and operations’ needs.
• Design CNC machines programming and PLC recipe as process requirement and productions schedule.
• Analyze and continuously improve manufacturing process to achieve best production safety, quality, and cost performance.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technology for shop operations objectives, manufacturing capability and capacity improvement.
• Develop and provide training for shop technicians for new products, process, tooling and others’ needs.
• Perform other technical support or projects as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
• Good technical knowledge
• Positive working attitude and team player
• Familiar with CAD / CAM 2D drawing and 3D modeling.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge will be an advantage.
• Familiar with MS software

Job Description

- Design, customise and build components and systems for product testing and qualification

- Perform and complete product qualification and tests in accordance with prescribed standards

- Trouble-shoot and resolve technical issues with regard to process and testing

- Collaborate and liaise with internal engineering teams / sub-contractors to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables

- Support management of workshops and laboratories

Job Requirements

- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Precision Engineering

- Experience in relevant engineering field

- Proficient in ASTM, BS, ISO, MIL standards

- Proficient in Solidworks

- Familiarity with pneumatics preferred

- Qualification and trained in BizSAFE Level 2 and ISO22301 preferred.

Role Description:

As the System Engineering Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and leading a team of talented system engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our engineering solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, software engineers, electrical engineers, and mechanical engineers, you will ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting customer requirements, and driving technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of system engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Work with the other team leads to ensure smooth execution of projects and manage conflicts
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing, professional development, and continuous learning.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in robotics and automation systems, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
• Understanding the system architecture and make necessary changes in consultation with the relevant specialists, including the system architect and various subject matter experts
• Oversee the development of robotics and automation systems, considering factors such as system architecture, hardware selection, software integration, and safety standards.
• Ensuring that interfaces between electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams are defined, to ensure that subsystems can be integrated and functionality of the overall system is achieved.
• Manage the system engineering lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, prototyping, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
• Ensuring quality of the deliverables by employing QA tools such as FMEA, FTA
• To create test plans and execute them, and manage defects to ensure that they are adequately addressed
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure system reliability, availability, and maintainability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Proven experience in System Engineering or Quality Assurance is ideal
• Strong technical background and understanding of various engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.
• Proficiency in system engineering methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with system integration, including hardware and software interfaces, sensor integration, and control systems.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, preferably related to robotics and automation systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
