Qualifications:

• PhD / Master / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering with 7~12 years of relevant experience of managing advanced node silicon bumping, large body single & multi-chip (2.1/2.5/3D) package assembly, substrate & back-end suppliers and processes.
• Hands on experience in Product Life-Cycle Management - creating & maintaining Bill of Material structure, Process Documentation, Process Change Notification etc.
• Good team player, result oriented individual, experienced in project management, failure analysis tools, techniques and TQM. Good analytical, problem-solving skills. Flexible and agile.
• Sound knowledge of applicable industry standards, quality systems, regulations, knowledge of prevailing and emerging silicon package & substrate technologies, bumping and assembly processes, materials and equipment.
• Able to communicate with internal team members & external partners in various geographic locations and may required to travel from time to time at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

Objectives of the position:

The NPI / Production Process Engineer is required to collaborate with the Program Management Team

and be involved in New Product Introduction activities and the creation of manufacturing Work

Instructions as well as other process documents. The incumbent is also expected to improve the work

processes actively and continuously to achieve high productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

 Early involvement in NPI (New Product Introduction) activities.

 Interpret technical information (documents, drawings, and data) and analyse the manufacturing

process elements.

 Create Bill of Materials structure.

 Create manufacturing Work Instructions and other process documents in collaboration with the

Program Management, Production and Quality Assurance Teams.

 Carry out time studies and update the process cycle times.

 Provide timely technical support to the Production Team pertaining to manufacturing process and

quality issues.

 Engage in DFM and Lean Line Design activities.

 Relentlessly explore, evaluate, and review new tools, equipment, processes, etc.

 Actively and continuously improve the work processes to improve work efficiency and quality.

Skills & Qualification:

 Minimum Diploma in any Engineering field such as Electrical, Mechanical/Mechatronics,

 Min. 3 years of manufacturing process engineering experience, preferably dealing with wire or cable

harness. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Asst. Engineer position

 Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

 Basic manufacturing knowledge in cable harness assemblies, plastics and sheet metal preferred

 Experienced in the creation Bill of Materials structures

 Good knowledge on Solid Edge or SolidWorks preferred.

Excellent execution on assembly process for 1st NPI success and smooth transfer process from NPI to HVM

• Excellent execution of the qualification of NPI products / packages build that proliferate from the pilot products and packages according to planned timeline

• Deliver BIC yield and cost on product NPI with integration of DFx BIC package solution, process guideline and design rules.
• Collaboration with multi-functional team from NPI to LVM/HVM process transfer.
• On-time execution of NPI Customer samples and Engineering Samples build for new products and package

SME Process Owner Responsible for Continuous Improvement on Process Yield, Defect Elimination and Process Characterization

• Process owner to perform on-time detection with data analysis for process yield improvement. Lead the defect elimination and continue improvement action, with problem solving methodology, statistical analysis and integration solution decision.
• Process owner to develop process recipe for BIC UPH, conducting process characterization to define process parameters and boundary.
• Continuous develop in depth assembly process technical knowledge, well understand process capability/tolerance//spec limit/CpK, and apply key tools PFMEA/QCP/APC/FDC/Alarm on assembly processes Cz/Development/NPI.
• Global leader for cross team collaboration on network BKM, process recipe spec and recipe standardization/conversion.

Technology enablement and development – Process, Material, Equipment

• Participate and support Product Roadmap, to enable key process capability and technology development to ensure packaging solution is ready prior 1st Qual Silicon deliver.
• Frequent engagement with equipment and material supplier (at least interval of monthly or daily/weekly for process issues)
• Collaboration with Supplier and involvement Supplier Roadmap (Material/Equipment/OSAT), to understand market trends and competitor’s direction, ensure key process technology and capability enablement is in-line.
• Frequent review and participant Competitor Analysis, to understand market trends and competitor’s technology/capability boundary
• Engage and follow PDE business process (TGR, TORB, KEG interlock) for new technology qualification, alignment and safe launch
