About the role - you will:

This is a position for an engineering professional responsible for applying scientific and engineering principles to design, develop, and optimize lab on a chip platform. This position involves working with a multidisciplinary global team of researchers to create solutions for developing novel solutions in lab on a chip problem. The Engineer must be able to develop and implement technical solutions that meet project requirements and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.

About you:

• Be prepared to engage in interdisciplinary research and to explore new research directions.
• Design and develop lab on a chip products and processes.
• Work with scientists and other engineers to develop and optimize lab on a chip products and processes.
• Conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Your experience includes:

• Degree, Master's or a PhD in biotechnology, biomedical engineering, material science or a related field.
• Strong foundations in engineering principles, biological systems, and molecular biology techniques.
• Familiarity with biotechnology industry regulations and guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics, proficiency in using CAD and other software tools commonly used in biotechnology engineering will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineer/Supervisor to carry out MBO activities to meet department KPI in line with Business Plan and Division Objectives.
• Assist Engineer/Supervisor in process improvement for Yield, Quality and Productivity and Provide Engineering support on the respective processes assigned for new products and other cross functional activities.
• Carry out improvement activities or MBO for cost down, yield improvement, productivity improvement etc.
• Support the team involve QA and Production to resolve production line trouble.
• Perform data collection to generation of technical reports for customer product qualification and
  confirmation
• Assist Engineer in process development activities and optimization parameters by conducting DOE and analysis.
• Support prototype related activities, New Product, New Package, New Process and New substrate or Lead frame introduction.
• Assist or writing technical reports for customer product qualification, process evaluation,
  and DOE conducted.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Electronic Engineering with 1-3 years relevance experience.
• Experience with semiconductor or IC package assembly is preferred.
• Willing to learn new equipment or processes.
