The Process Engineer reports to the Tender & Contracts Manager and is responsible for the below:

• Review Tender Documents, sourcing for materials, suppliers and vendors to obtain and review quotes.
• Communicate and negotiate with external vendors on pricing, scope & other contractual terms.
• Assist with tender documentations preparation, cost reports and cost plans, administer and evaluate tender process and submit tender proposal reports
• Administrative duties such as preparing bills of quantities.

Job Description

• Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of inorganic chemicals' production
• Evaluate customers' orders with Team Leader and create production schedules to meet deliverables
• Oversee the planning and ordering of Anhydrous Ammonia (skid tanks/cylinders)
• Keep track of NH3 and NH4OH Performance Matrix and account for deviation/breaches captured by the matrix

• Process Systems Engineer II is recognized within Takeda as technical subject matter expert (SME) for designated systems for the Singapore Biologics Manufacturing facility from a systems perspective.

How you will contribute:

• Act as system technical owner for Upstream, Downstream equipment’s and other unit operations and acting as primary engineering liaison between the system business owner and engineering.
• Lead the engineering remediation activities on designated systems (Deviations, complex Corrective Maintenance, hardware fault finding) which include generating necessary RA, Job Plans together with Engineering Operations.

Assist the Production Process Engineers with the following tasks:

For New Products or Prototypes :

• Acquire first hand experience with the production processes through hands-on work done under the guidance of the Technicians and Engineers
• Prepare detailed Work Instructions
• Establish Cycle Time for each process step

For current running Products that already have existing Work Instructions and Cycle Times established:

The research and development engineer will focus on scaling up and optimizing the solution-based perovskite solar module fabrication.

Key Responsibilities are listed as following:

• Material Development: Formulate and optimize perovskite precursor solutions to achieve high-performance thin films with excellent uniformity, crystallinity, and stability.
• Process Optimization: Develop and refine large area solution-based deposition techniques such as slot-die coating, inkjet printing, and blade coating for scalable production.
• Device Fabrication: Design and fabricate perovskite solar cells, including single-junction and tandem architectures, using solution-based processes.
• Characterization: Perform advanced characterization of solution-processed materials and devices, including optical, electrical, and structural analysis using techniques like UV-Vis spectroscopy, SEM, XRD, PL, and IV testing.
• Stability and Reliability: Investigate degradation mechanisms of solution-processed perovskite layers and develop strategies for improving device stability and reliability under operational conditions.

Qualifications:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Process Engineer either independently or with minimal support introduces new products to the site, provides technical expertise on the manufacture of assigned drug products on site and transfers drug products to other facilities. In collaboration with supporting functional groups, the Process Engineer provides technical guidance on deviations, investigations and customer complaints. The Process Engineer also develops and leads/participates in continuous process improvement activities to enhance site performance metrics.

• Leads simple new product introductions to the site by conducting process and equipment comparisons, new raw material introduction, development studies and clinical supplies manufacturing, cleaning processes development and validation and training of technicians as required.
• Designs and executes small/full-scale experiments using design of experiments methodology and/or simulations for new products to evaluate the impact of proposed changes to validated equipment/processes.
• Supports filing activities by developing and leading process qualification activities for equipment, process and material changes.
• Understands the principles of Quality by Design (QbD) and executes the requirements in support of a QbD filing
• Supports routine supply manufacture by providing on going technical support and reviews IPT metrics to identify and implement opportunities for improvement utilizing the lean six sigma tools.
• Proactively monitors the performance of equipment/module(s) or unit operation(s) during manufacturing and cleaning through the use of control charts. • Develops continuous process verification (CPV) plans, analyses the data and authors the CPV reports and annual product reviews. Conducts periodic cleaning assessments as part of continuous process improvement.
• Executes complex equipment/process/automation changes as required for process improvements, including changes to process/cleaning batch sheets.
• Provides technical expertise related to equipment and manufacturing/cleaning processes in response to deviations to understand and eliminate the root cause(s).
• Leads investigations for emergency product complaints, investigations and deviations.
• Provides technical guidance in supports of site and divisional capital projects and new facility start-up activities, including full-scale process demonstration, process validation, and cleaning validation
