About The Job

The Process Worker supports the mission of the Red Shield Industries, a social enterprise, highly regarded by public for its excellent delivery donation in kind service which is sensitive and responsive to the community welfare needs and meeting the funding needs of The Salvation Army. It is expected that as a process worker, the job incumbent will sort and distribute donated items according to the guidelines set up to maximize the revenue for The Salvation Army's work.

Key Responsibilities

• Check and process all clothing/toys/bric-a-brac/books/glassware/etc collected are classified as per standard operation procedures
• Ensure items are sorted categorically and distributed efficiently to warehouse for on forwarding to the retail stores.
• Support the execution of the planning and smooth operation of the sorting system and packaging before sending to the warehouse for distribution to the various stores.
• Surrender unclaimed monies or valuables to supervisor who will bring to the attention of the Processing Centre Management.

• Secondary Education
• Physically fit (able to lift 10 to 20 kg of goods)
• Able to stand for long period (4 hours)
• Able to work in non-aircondition environment

• Design and building of infrastructure/ Water plant / building engineering works (Civil / Structural)
• Conducting technical feasibility study, life cycle study and planning for building engineering.
• Preparation of design report, calculation, drawings, specification, cost estimation and details / schedules for projects.
• Assist Project Manager in up-keeping the project ISO quality documentation and records.
• Evaluation of tenders and preparation of tender assessment reports.
• Assist Professional Engineer in liaison preparation and follow up of authority submission.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years hands-on design experience in building and/or infrastructure projects

Job Description

• Attend meetings with stakeholder, contractor and supplier
• Supervise the construction of works in accordance with the project plan and drawings.
• Co-ordinate layout plan, detailed drawings and prepare time schedule
• Work closely with customers; co-ordinate with internal staff; manage sub-contractors
• Determine material type and quantities and placing order with internal staff or suppliers
• Supervise, control and coordinate work according to project plan to ensure timely completion and high quality work.
• Conduct frequent sites inspections and meetings to ensure high quality work by sub-contractors and on time delivery of materials in accordance with schedule
• Enforce site safety procedures, identify and manage risks arising from the workplace or work process

- assist in managing the contracted services for repair, preventive maintenance and/or new construction of building facilities and grounds to ensure compliance with statutory and user requirements.

- develop and direct initiatives to maintain and operate building facilities and systems to meet building operational requirements and ensure safe system operations.

- Other duties include rendering technical assistance with regard to maintenance planning, budgeting for projects and ensuring timeliness and cost-effectiveness of projects.

- Required Skill(s): AutoCAD, project management, good communication skills, good personal-relationship skill

- Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
