Process Technician

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of polymer. They are currently seeking for Process Technicians to operate and monitor their manufacturing process.

The role of the Process Technician includes:

• Operate the process to meet the conditions specified in manuals/instructions
• Operate the process equipment at site in accordance with operation plan.
• Take measures to improve production status and equipment performance on productivity and quality after approval of shift senior technician
• Patrol plant process, confirm the condition of process and equipment and report disordered matter to senior shift technicians.
• Prepare and organised patrol records
• Take a sampling for analysis of products and process evaluation.
• Report all incidents, near misses, deviation from plan and take part in further investigation when required.
• Assist in coordination of daily maintenance planning and participate in maintenance activities and shutdown/start-up of sections.
• Provide support for maintenance group /quality control group if any problem arises.

Job Requirement:

• Diploma or NITEC in Chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in chemical plant. The experience in polymerization unit and extrusion unit or a minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing plant such compounding or extrusion is advantageous.
• Possess basic knowledge of maintenance, chemical engineering and analytical procedures.
• Experience in operation via DCS systems is advantageous
• An effective team player with good communication
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

• Lead and manage a team of Process Operators to operate industrial wastewater treatment plant according to the production plan of the Plant Manager.
• Supervise and ensure the day-to-day WWTP operation follows the Standard Operation Procedure, Work- Place Safety EHS rules and regulations by giving proper and clear instructions to operators.
• Ensure proper handing / taking over of shift duties including housekeeping condition.
• Maintain proper record of the treatment details such as quantity of wastewater treated and observation of process reactions.
• Monitor the quality of treated wastewater and ensure strict compliance with the statutory Discharge Requirements before allowing the discharge of the treated effluents.
• Keep proper documentation of wastewater and treatment material inventory.
• Update the daily operation / treatment records and to complete the weekly autonomous plant maintenance program.
• Prepare incident report for submission to Plant Manager for any accident, near miss or unusual incident / observation.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical certificates.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in operation of wastewater treatment / chemical / oil & gas process plant at Supervisory or Senior Technician level.
• A hands-on leader, with good supervisory and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate with good communication skills
• Willing to perform 12-hour rotating shift work

• 7+ years of professional experience in QA / Testing and agile methodology
• Skilled in both Manual and Automation testing
• Tooling experience in SQL Server/DB2/SQL, SOAP UI, XML, JIRA knowledge
• Experience in Selenium, APPIUM, KATALON, TOSCA, API, WINDMILL is required
• Good team player, fast learner and good analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

A Databricks Engineer is responsible for migrating from as-is on-perm data warehouse to Databricks and sound
knowledge of Databricks. Requires good understanding of data architecture, cloud solutions, building and maintainirobust, integrated, and governed data infrastructure. The role involves extracting valuable insights from
ensuring data security, compliance, and high-quality data management.
Roles And Responsibilities:
• Lead end to end data migration project from on-premises environments to Databricks with minimal downtime.
• Work with architects and lead solution design to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Hands on experience in Databricks to design and implement the solution on AWS.
• Hands on experience in configuring Databricks clusters, writing Pyspark codes, build CI/CD pipelines for the
deployments.
• Highly experienced in optimization techniques (Zordering, Auto Compaction, vacuuming)
• Process near real time data through Auto Loader, DLT pipelines
• Must have strong background in python and able to identify, communicate and mitigate risks and issues.
• Identify and resolve data-related issues and provide support to ensure data availability and integrity.
• Optimize AWS, Databricks resource usage to control costs while meeting performance and scalability
requirements.
• Stay up to date with AWS, Databricks services, and data engineering best practices to recommend and
implement new technologies and techniques.
• Proactively implement engineering methodologies, standards, and leading practices.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in AWS or Azure services, Databricks, and/or
Informatica IDMC.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for building data pipelines.
• Evaluate potential technical solutions and make recommendations to resolve data issues especially on
performance assessment for complex data transformations and long running data processes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with data modelling and schema design.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Databricks certifications, and Informatica certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark and Hadoop on Databricks.
• Experience in AWS Services focusing on data and architecting.

What you will be working on:

• To provide facilities support pertaining to Clean Room, Chillers and HVAC systems, Environmental Protection Systems, Process Utilities Supply Systems, Building Services and Maintenance, and other miscellaneous mechanical and facilities systems to wafer fabrication so as to ensure continuous supply of utilities and related facilities at the required performance level or specifications
• Formulate, implement, review and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for systems in charge so as to ensure that the systems function as intended at all times
• Carry out repair and troubleshooting of systems in order to restore systems to their operating conditions in the shortest possible time. Carry out root cause analysis and implement action plans to prevent recurrence
• Able to formulate effective reporting and tracking systems for monitoring of system performance and capacity usage. Recommend and implement improvement/enhancement projects where appropriate.

More About You:

• Master / Degree in Science, Mechanical Engineering, Building or equivalent. Preferred candidate with SCEM certification.
• 5 years of relevant working experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical or petrochemical industry. Hands-on experience in day to day operation and maintenance essential.
• Experienced in managing cleanroom (Class 100 environment) systems
• Person shall act as SME for ACMV system. Person must have sound knowledge of operation and maintenance of Clean room areas and ACMV system
• Provide building services and maintenance, including building facilities repair and upgrading, housekeeping, landscaping and pest control.
• Knowledge of maintenance principles and good engineering practices.

Key responsibilities
