Centre for Optical Fibre Technology (COFT)

COFT is a joint endeavour between DSO, A*Star and NTU which hosts state-of-the-art fabrication equipment for several kinds of optical fibres, ranging from standard silica fibres to a variety of advanced specialty fibres, microstructured fibres and novel glasses (e.g. chalcogenides). Key equipment includes a 8.5 m dual-side fibre drawing tower, a Modified Chemical Vapour Deposition (MCVD) fibre preform lathe hosted in 200 m2 of cleanroom space. The facility also includes 300 m2 of dedicated chemical preparation area for glass etching and machining, advanced fibre processing and characterisation systems, including Bragg grating engraving/cutting, fusion splicing, thermogravimetric and thermomechanical analysers, lithography and etching. Characterisation relies on spectrophotometry, high-frequency network analysis, SNOM and electro-optic microcharacterisation.

A Facility Manager (FM) is required to support fibre fabrication activities at NTU. The FM should address any problems or issues that arise during fibre fabrication in the lab and proactively assist those using the facility. The Role

The role involves providing and analyzing accurate, timely management information to support practice groups while actively managing significant matters, including budgeting, tracking, and optimizing bill collection to enhance firm profitability. Acting as a key interface between back-office accounting and fee-earning departments across Asia, the position requires close collaboration with firm members, senior partners, and practice group leaders. Key responsibilities include liaising with partners and billing associates to create detailed mandate-level budgets for larger matters, managing budgets by allocating fee-earner resources, defining work phases, and preparing reports for the Pricing Committee. The role also entails setting up and monitoring budgets in the firm’s financial systems, overseeing working capital components, and developing robust revenue support and credit control policies and procedures.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate should possess a tertiary education with strong proficiency in Excel (including modeling at an intermediate to advanced level) and MS Word, alongside excellent data analysis and interpretation skills. Experience in a legal practice supporting partners and senior staff is essential, with familiarity in Power BI, Excel XLCube, and 3e considered an advantage. A solid commercial understanding of the drivers within a legal practice, persuasive and influencing abilities, and report-writing experience are highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a good analytical mind, a positive work attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility and ethics. We are seeking a BIM Manager specializing in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems to join our team in Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will lead our BIM implementation efforts for M&E projects, ensuring seamless integration of building systems and optimizing our design and construction processes.

• Develop and implement BIM strategies for M&E projects, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices
• Coordinate with various disciplines (architecture, structural, and M&E) to ensure proper integration of building systems in BIM models
• Establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for M&E projects
• Conduct quality assurance checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
