Qualifications expected

· Configuration management using tools like Terraform, Puppet or Ansible.

· You have experience in running production systems utilizing microservices and distributed systems architecture at scale

· You have a background in workload based on cloud-based system with at least one of the leading public cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Containerization and orchestration

· You know how to build and operate Docker containers – design, construction, and optimization.

· You have experience with defining and managing applications that operate on orchestration platforms.

· You have working experience with service mesh configuration.

Observability and monitoring

· You have experience with configuration and monitoring of an observability tool of choice.

API Gateway Engineering (nice to have)

· You understand common API concepts and standards as well as aspects of data storage, service status and session handling.

· You are familiar with API management system for high availability, resilience, and recovery.

· You know how to deploy, configure, tune, and monitor API Gateways

· You know how to apply API policies and standards for security and standardization of an enterprise.

Purpose of Role:

The role holder provides network consultancy, design, implementation and support to help customers maximize network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. Activities will include in-depth analysis, design (both for high and lower level network solutions), deployment, support and consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

To support on aspects of Data Centre / DC Virtualization / WAN/LAN Networking / Campus Network technology domain from requirements capture/definition through customer.

To interpret client needs, assess the full requirements, and identify suitable solutions.

To input to cost/timescale solutions/options and manage expectations as appropriate with the customer.

To support on the service delivery and network solution design, implementation.

To provide support and troubleshooting service for the network infrastructure related incidents and problems while implementing the project

Hands on experience with Nexus Product Family (N9K,N7K, N5K, N2K), and Vxlan, DCI, OTV technologies, as well as Catalyst series switches (2960/3560/3750/4500/6500/6800, etc)

Public / Private Cloud experience and knowledge is a plus
