Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, coordination and supervision of ACMV system. This position involves technical activities, independent thinking and problem-solving skills to contribute to the success of our projects. As a key member of our engineering team, the Mechanical Engineer will have exposure to local statutory requirements, industry standards/norm, project management, equipment selection and costings.

Responsibilities

• Involved in design development, drawings and material submissions for approval, QA/ QC works such as inspection,testing & commissioning, handing over of installation.
• Attend meetings and preparation of reports for site progress and schedules. Coordinate site safety management system.
• Liaise and coordinate ACMV installations with main contractor, suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Supervision and monitor daily site work done, and plan for catchup as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience in construction.
• Experience in ACMV, chilled water system installation and design. Able to perform basis engineering calculation with MS Excel.
• Good communication, independent and can liaise with main contractor and sub-contractors effectively.
• Good understanding of engineering principles and drawings.

Responsibilities:

1. Mandatory Reporting & Compliance (ECA, WEMP, GHG, etc.)

• Prepare and submit Energy Management System (EnMS) reports.
• Ensure compliance with Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) for water-cooled chilled water systems.
• Update and submit the Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan (EEIP) and Energy Reports as per regulatory requirements.
• Conduct annual energy reviews and support ISO50001 certification processes.
• Monitor and report water usage including recycling and reuse systems.
• Analyze GHG emissions data monthly and prepare yearly submissions for third-party verification.
• Report on Corporate Environmental Performance Management (CEPM) and align with Net Zero and Renewable Energy targets.

2. Corporate Environmental & Sustainability Initiatives:

• Track and report environmental indicators such as power, water, and waste consumption.
• Develop gap analyses and enhancement plans to improve eco-efficiency and recycling rates.
• Support corporate audits and sustainability projects, and environmental goal tracking.

3. Facility Monitoring & Data Management:

• Integrate facility monitoring systems into the Maintenance Management System (IFMS Dashboard).
• Develop automated preventive maintenance schedules and inventory tracking.
• Oversee daily monitoring logs and production support using SharePoint for data analysis and reporting.

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related Engineering field.
• Proven experience in Energy Management, Environmental Sustainability, and Corporate Responsibility reporting.
• Strong technical skills in data analysis, with proficiency in tools such as BMS, SharePoint, and digital metering systems.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in maintenance management systems and facility monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as NEA and PUB compliance standards.
• Familiarity with ISO50001, GHG Protocol, and other sustainability frameworks will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• To monitor and supervise sub contractors’ work progression according to shop drawings, method statements, material and samples
• To liaise and work with relevant authorities, sub-contractors, main contractor or clients on shop drawings, materials and samples
• Review and align ACMV design drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines
• Knowledge in M&E and able to identify discrepancies between M&E, structural, ID, architectural and client provisions
• Manage and execute project as per the deadline
• Attend meeting with subcontractors / contractors / clients to address issues and update progress
• Study and review drawings, specifications for compliance
• Allocate work and ensure jobs are correctly and properly achieved within standards and SOP.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Candidate with more than 10 years of relevant experience will be considered for Senior position
• Preferably candidate with relevant working experience in the Construction Industry especially in ACMV system installation
• Sound knowledge in ACMV System, Local / International Code of Practice / Standard, Green Mark Requirement, Hydronic / Static Calculation, BIM, Revit, Autocad would be an advantage
• Good working attitude and a team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
