Job description

• Support agency in new cloud related projects implementation.

• Assist agency in reviewing access rights, and accounts control in cloud.

• Review and resolve the vulnerabilities reported from scan and/or alerts.

• Provide consultancy to new projects to onboard AWS cloud services.

• Strengthen the security posture of existing cloud infrastructure and propose enhancement.

• Raise service request to BAU Operations Team for in-scope cloud related tasks.

• To support and maintain AWS S3 Buckets and other AWS Storage services such as FSX.

• To support Trend Micro Cloud One Workload and Endpoint Security / AMHIPS as part of Agency Anti-Virus/ Anti-Malware system.

• To support and maintain ABLR Heavy Forwarder as part of Agency Audit Logging requirement.

• To support Agency Infrastructure using DevOps process or tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

• To support Audit and security compliance activities.

• Work with BAU team, System Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and DBA to support and maintain agency environment.

• To support and maintain Central Account Management (CAM) servers as part of Agency Audit requirement.

POSITION OVERVIEW : Software Development Analyst

POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS :

Understand Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD) concepts and principles.

Implement a CICD Pipeline using the required DevOps tools as defined in the CICD architecture and adhering to CICD principles.

Design and implement each of the DevOps, DevSecOps & DevTestOps tools based on best practices.

Work with project teams to on board their project onto the DevOps pipeline.

Implement automation of development and operations for digital projects.

Support the DevOps pipeline and the relevant tools.

Support and maintain the relevant tools.

Example of activities includes are: product patching, issue troubleshooting, ensure service availability.

Tracking and assessing release performance

Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.

Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.

Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. (i.e. IT, Computer Science or Software Engineering)

At least 8 ~ 12 years of relevant experience.

Able to design, implement, use and integrate tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, Nexus, Ansible etc with consideration of the security controls required to deliver the CICD Pipeline.

Experience with DevSecOps Tools such as SonarQube, Blackduck, AquaSec, Coverity etc.

Familiar with Linux and Windows operating systems

Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as DynaTrace, ELK etc.

Familiarity with Containers technologies such as Openshift, Tanzu, Docker is a plus.

Strong understanding of best practices in using the DevOps Tools. Eg, Branching strategy, Artefact Management etc.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Must be proactive, resourceful and self-motivated with strong analytical skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

a) Support cost optimisation got GCC environment

b) Project administration and documentation (procurement, audit etc)

c) Drive cloud-related initiatives with other teams (coordination)

d) Advise and support project teams with cloud-based domain knowledge

e) Support incident management (when needed)

f) Plan and organise workshops

g) Support operations for applications hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC)

h) Present and share new ideas or information with department or management committee

i) Analyse the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) needs, scope the problem and develop business case to address the problem

j) Document requirements, source and evaluate alternatives, and recommend solution that best fits the Ministry of Manpower’s needs

k) Work with MOM vendor and app vendor on the solutions and design to seek clarification and acceptance.

l) Assess and ensure applications are in full compliance to IM8 and security requirements laid out by Government Technology Agency (GovTech) or MOM

m) Remediate any non-compliance or security findings related to accounts in GCC environment

n) Perform scripting or low-code development

o) Review and refine existing processes and workflows to improve efficiencies

4. Knowledge and Skills

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

a) Tertiary education in Computer/Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent

b) AWS certifications such Developer (Associate) Certification, AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate), AWS Solution Architect (Associate/Professional), AWS DevOps Engineer (Professional) is preferred

c) Knowledge of serverless architectures

d) Familiarity with various coding languages, such as Python, Java etc.
