Projects / Solution deployment

Support the deployment of regional procurement and PTP projects/solutions by:

• Documentation and Progress Tracking: Developing and maintaining project/process documentation (including translations if needed), managing, and tracking procurement project progress.
• Training and Coordination: Providing training and coordinating activities within countries to ensure the successful embedding of new solutions.
• Communication Cascade: Disseminating global procurement and PTP communications to the countries.

Run & Maintain

Support ongoing procurement and PTP operations within the region by:

• Document Management: Timely and accurate updating of operational documents (e.g., approval matrices) essential for effective procurement and PTP processes.
• Process Assessment and Improvement: Conducting process assessments, quantifying the impact of process pain points through data analysis, and defining improvement projects.
• KPI Monitoring: Monitoring regional KPIs and initiating improvement projects/actions when scores fall below target (e.g., Supplier Data Quality Index - DQI).
• Training and Knowledge Management: Identifying knowledge gaps in procurement and PTP operating models, preparing and conducting training sessions with stakeholders to address these gaps.
• Improvement: Identifying areas of improvement at regional and implement defined action plans
• Stakeholder Engagement: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders within procurement, PTP, and other functions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of people, processes, and tools

• University Degree or equivalent qualification

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant procurement process and project management experience; knowledge of continuous improvement and change/project management concepts. Proven experience in developing/ deploying/ improving Procurement processes, policies, systems, and tools.

Specialist Knowledge & Skills

• MS Office incl. Visio; experience and working knowledge of project management tools; sound knowledge of process design, drafting, and documentation.

An exciting Specialist Consultant for Specialty Fats opportunity with a leading global agribusiness group.

Contract: 1-year, extendable

Key Responsibilities:

• Market & Trend Analysis: Identify global and regional food industry trends and provide strategic advice on how to incorporate these trends into products and services.
• Product Development & R&D Advisory: Offer expert guidance on improving specialty fats across multiple areas, including safety, quality, flavor, nutrition, and sustainability. Stay updated on the latest R&D trends and suggest innovative improvements.
• Training & Troubleshooting: Conduct training sessions on trends, lipid technology, and ingredients for staff and clients. Troubleshoot specific technical issues as needed.
• Bakery Fats: Advise on formulation design, fat crystallization, and application properties. Enhance bakery fat flavours using innovative techniques (e.g., fermentation, enzymatic technologies) to retain flavour post-baking.
• Nutrition Lipids: Lead research on enzymatically structured lipids, optimizing lipid structures for enhanced nutritional value. Guide studies at various levels, including cell cultures, animal models, and clinical trials. Advise on the development of medical nutrition and dietary supplements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Confectionery Fats: Provide expertise in chocolate fat development, focusing on fat crystallization, texture, and quality. Optimize chocolate formulations and advise on cocoa processing and quality control.
• Frying Fats & Oils: Offer holistic solutions for the food industry to improve the sensory quality and shelf-life of fried foods. Enhance oil stability and reduce off-flavours in frying fats. Share best practices with leading industry clients.

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science or a related field.
• Minimum 18-20 years of experience, focusing on one or more of the following areas: bakery fats, nutrition lipids, confectionery fats, and frying oils.
• Strong industrial R&D experience or a technical/production background, particularly in specialty fats or similar products.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
• A flexible, approachable, and innovative mindset with a passion for finding creative solutions in a rapidly evolving industry.
• Ability to travel to global production sites.

The Team and the role?

The Enterprise Product Platform and Risk Specialist team is responsible for supporting Bloomberg's Enterprise Product Platform and MARS Solutions, including areas such as Front Office, Market Risk, XVA, and SIMM. We are looking to hire an individual contributor in the Asia team to join our exciting and fast growing team. In this role, you will work closely with the sales team to deliver product demos, perform testing and reconciliation, manage the product needs of our production clients, and participate in risk and cross-product projects designed to enhance and expand our risk solutions and the overall enterprise product platform for both buy-side and sell-side clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong modelling, data analysis, project management, and communication skills. A deep understanding of market risk is crucial, as is the ability to explain complex analytics and recommend best practices.

We’ll trust you to:

• Be responsible for our client’s experience on the MARS Risk platform & cross-product solutions
• Conduct in depth product discussions with key clients, ensuring product offerings meet client needs
• Documenting and communicating product enhancements to both internal and external stakeholders
• Manage delivering committed product enhancements on time
• Training clients on use of the system and/or MARS API Schema
• Acting as point of escalation from support and implementation teams for client questions and issues, and, when necessary, coordinating internally to get them addressed
• Work on risk related projects and initiatives
• Providing feedback to colleagues on client needs, competitor intelligence and market trends

You’ll need to have:

• 8+ years of experience working in financial technology, financial markets or financial consulting organizations
• Demonstrated experience in quantitative finance, financial engineering or risk management roles
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing client relationships, within the past 3 years
• A bachelor's degree or higher degree-equivalent qualifications in relevant Finance Engineering, Quantitative Finance or related field
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple internal and external stakeholders and often under tight timeline
• Extensive experience in the multi-asset class market risk space
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to work across multiple teams and reporting lines
• Passion for technology and demonstrated experience with Python and/or other programming languages
• High level of energy, creativity, flexibility and dedication. A willingness to focus and commit to finding the best solution for our clients
• Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English

We'd love to see:

• Professional working proficiency of an Asian language
• Prior working experience with the Bloomberg suite of products
• Work experience in Python or other programming languages
