Job Purpose

This position will assist and support the hiring manager in the development, commercialization and management of cash management solutions in Asia Pacific. Job Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy, Development & Commercialization

• Develop, manage, commercialize and roll out cash management products and services in all Asia Pacific countries, in particular Liabilities products and solutions.
• Formulate and implement Liabilities growth strategies for different industry verticals/client segments.
• Define and execute the Liabilities product roadmap aligned with client needs, growth strategies, operational efficiency and regulatory requirements.
• Lead product definition, scope, requirements gathering, testing and commercialization activities to deliver value-added products and solutions to clients.
• Support virtual account management and liquidity management products and solutions as a secondary responsibility.
• Be domain expert handling all aspects of product planning including product approval, product design, process planning, legal documentation, and providing RFP, pre-sales and post-sales support to Sales teams.

2. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with Sales, Operations, Service, Legal and Compliance and Country stakeholders to understand market, regulatory and client requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is must.
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in transaction banking.
• The candidate should possess experience in Liabilities products and solutions, preferably in product management and delivery within APAC region.
• Knowledge of Liabilities solutions (viz. LD, FD, call/notice accounts/deposits, flexi deposits, etc.) across Asia Pacific markets is essential.

General Description:

Bank of Singapore (“BOS”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of OCBC Bank, Southeast Asia’s second largest bank. Headquartered in Singapore, Bank of Singapore is one of the fastest growing private banks in Asia.

The Alternative Investments and Managed Solutions business of BOS is responsible for the sourcing, selection, advisory, marketing and post-sales lifecycle management of both public and private market funds and investment solutions as well as discretionary and advisory portfolio management. The fund products are offered to clients in the form of fund structures or as structured notes with the fund as the underlying.

The Managed Investments (“MI”) team is responsible for the investment advisory and distribution and post-sales monitoring of in-house and third party, professionally managed, fund investment opportunities (including Alternatives fund investments), Advisory Portfolio Management (“APM”) and Discretionary Portfolio Management (“DPM”).

Main Duties:

Advisory and Sales

• To grow AUM and increase the penetration of Managed Investments (funds, alternatives, APM and DPM) through marketing and advice to RMs and clients. This involves maintaining strong collaboration with Relationship Managers/Investment Advisors.
• Be a liaison between the Fund Selection, APM and DPM teams and Front Office, articulating investment philosophy, process, performance, positioning and market outlook, as well as proactively identifying opportunities or client interest
• Organize education and training of internal parties, relationship managers and clients across Managed Solutions strategies and build fluent knowledge of Managed Solutions on the BOS platform. Specifically, the candidate will champion the Private Markets pillar within the broad Managed Solutions advisory framework
• Conduct funds, alternatives, APM and DPM review meetings with clients, and undertake group sales meetings with RMs from designated markets to provide them with focus ideas and updates
• Align the recommendation of funds to BOS’s overall asset allocation models to achieve outperformance versus appropriate benchmarks
• Participate in Advisory team meetings with the Fund Selection and APM teams to help brainstorm new ideas and funds that should be prioritized for onboarding
• Demonstrate effective collaboration with other sales and research teams within Product Management Group (PMG), and other Bank of Singapore/OCBC departments.

Content and Product Development

• Prepare and maintain managed solutions marketing and client materials including pitchbooks, presentations, proposals, and performance commentaries.
• Support the launch activities of new managed solutions products and client communication efforts, including development of materials to help the Front Office explain portfolio strategy, risk and performance to clients of various levels of sophistication

Data Analysis

• Using data analytics tools, identify patterns of behaviour of clients across funds and assist to track client activity, particularly during focus / campaign periods
• Analyse business data and highlight any observable trends to the business to assist with planning and strategic initiatives
• Incorporate a ‘targeted’ approach to advisory, using data to customise ideas to specific RMs and clients

Platform / Client Experience

• With clients becoming increasingly digital in their interactions with the bank, the incumbent will be involved in strategic projects that help to reduce friction between the bank and the client, and deliver improvements in the way that we communicate digitally with our clients
• The incumbent will improve client experience through increasing the use of targeted messaging, as well as improve contextualization of our communication with our RMs and clients

Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 15 years work experience in Asset Management/Private Bank as a product specialist, with experience in client engagement and customer experience
• Strong investments background, with solid knowledge of alternatives products including private markets funds, hedge funds, private real estate investments, mutual funds, DPM & APM
• Knowledge and hands on experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau and/or Qlikview with the ability to interpret this data and draw conclusions
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to project a high level of professionalism, and effectively communicate with clients, portfolio managers and management in small and large settings
• Experience in Python or similar coding language will be looked upon favourably

Education Requirements:

• Good, relevant under-graduate degree
• CFA holder and or Master’s degree in finance from reputable university is strongly preferred
• Good command of 2nd language preferred considering that the role will be supporting global market
