About the role

Reporting to the VP of Ocean team, and as part of the Trade Performance Centre (TPC) team, this role will manage allocation on trade lanes as negotiated, while also liaising with carriers and other TPC teams to monitor overall performance.

The role

• Manage all aspects of product development and garment construction
• Arrange and run fittings with designers to ensure accurate fit and execution
• Recognising and solving tricky fit problems 
• Prepare and send Technical and Fit comments to suppliers
• Accurately measure garments to identify any fit issues 
• Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure fit process stays in line with production and action timelines

• Effectively manage and dissect costs to hit targeted margins for the respective lines

Special Projects

• Minimally a Diploma in Fashion Apparel or relevant textile/clothing experience acquired in manufacturing

Position Duties

• Managing all aspects of product development and user experience for existing and new products
• Responsible for the product team’s definition and communication of product requirements and specifications by thinking creatively and rigorously about how to solve problems
• Enforcing customer centricity in the product development cycle
• Establish and implement the overall product strategy in collaboration with the leadership team, product owners and functional teams
• Design, benchmark, iterate and report on product roadmaps at multiple timescale (multiyear, yearly, quarterly and sprint-level)
• Generate insights for our product strategy based on data and user feedback.
• Adopt and/or create effective product management methodologies and product analytics frameworks within the product function and the company.
• Be a thought leader and understand macro trends in the verticals and geographies we operate in, as well as stay always updated on what the direct competition does better than us and identify untapped opportunities for growth.
• Responsible for prioritizing the backlog of features and work with CTO on constantly addressing technical legacy and debt.
• Support sales and marketing teams in articulating the optimal value propositions and pricing for our clients based on their feedback and market research.
• Directly manage, recruit, train and retain the teams consisting of Product Manager(5) and UI/UX (3)
• Work closely with the CEO and engage the leadership team to drive the Company’s strategic plans in terms of resources allocation, market expansion and product growth in order to build a compelling vision to stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Regularly measure effectiveness of plan versus reality and update plans and/or execution accordingly

• 15 years of relevant  experience, including 5 years in product management and 5 years in a managerial role overseeing at least a team of 10 direct reports
• Robust technical background in data and technology
• Keen interest in AI and its transformative potential
• Strong interpersonal and communication and leadership skills

• Overseeing the brand's implementation of the new brand promise, vision, position, architecture, and attainment of overall business objectives for the brand.

Overview

As Marketing Project Manager at Vista Musical Instruments, you will adopt a Product Owner approach to manage and deliver marketing initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, stakeholder liaison, and hands-on management of project workflows using tools like JIRA. You will be responsible for translating marketing needs from various internal and external teams into actionable tasks and epics, and ensuring their successful execution by the marketing team, for Swee Lee/Dawsons, the leading retailer and distributor of musical instruments in Asia and the UK. At the same time, you'll also be involved in marketing campaigns for other important brands under Vista Musical Instruments, not limited to Heritage and Harmony Guitars, MONO and Teisco.

Responsibilities

• Function as the point of contact for marketing project requests from various internal and external teams.
• Define, create, and manage tasks and epics in JIRA, effectively translating marketing needs into actionable plans.
• Liaise with stakeholders to clarify requirements, set expectations, and communicate project progress.
• Work closely with the marketing team to prioritize tasks, manage backlogs, and oversee the execution of marketing projects.
• Ensure that marketing projects align with Vista Musical Intruments’s overall strategy and brand guidelines.
• Regularly review and report on project statuses, adjusting strategies and plans as necessary to meet objectives.
• Facilitate collaboration and communication across teams to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
• Liaise and manage external marketing agencies, ensure effective communications and set KPIs are met.

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in marketing project management, with a strong understanding of Product Owner methodologies.
• Proficiency in JIRA or similar project management tools.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
