Responsibilities:
• Design innovative 2D and 3D systems from concept to detailed design, ensuring manufacturability and intended functionality.
• Prepare 3D models, detailed working drawings, mechanical design calculations, product-specific detailed drawings, and generate Bills of Materials (BOM) from CAD drawings/3D models, as well as equipment construction guideline drawings.
• Review mechanical, piping equipment and vendor proposals for technical accuracy and constructability, perform equipment sizing, and prepare detailed specifications.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, mobilization activities, and provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise across sales, project and production teams.
• Manage product design changes and ensure alignment with client requirements and technical specifications to meet project objectives.
• Conduct site visits to resolve engineering issues and attend meetings with vendors, clients, and accreditation bodies to discuss technical matters.
• Stay informed of the latest design rules, regulations, and international industry standards to ensure compliance.
• Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
• Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in the marine/offshore industry with marine crane equipment manufacturers.
• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or Marine Engineering.
• Proficient in equipment design, with strong skills in hand calculations, and familiarity with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor 3D, and SolidWorks software.
• Knowledge and understanding of best practices and standards in steel fabrication will be considered an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Marine & Offshore rules, regulations and requirements
