Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional experience with ROS, building production-level robotics systems.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with a solid background in ROS.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as REST, MQTT, Zenoh, WebRTC, TCP/IP, UDP, and CAN.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement scalable control and navigation solutions for AMRs utilizing your expertise in ROS, C++, and Python. Your focus will be on robustness, efficiency, and adaptability in real-world environments.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party systems (HW/SW) to enhance KABAM robots' capabilities.
• Conduct rigorous field tests to validate the reliability and performance of navigation systems in diverse outdoor conditions. Leverage insights gained to iteratively improve and optimize navigation algorithms, incorporating SLAM, motion planning, and perception techniques.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of design, development, and deployment processes. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the team by presenting insights and lessons learned in regular sessions.
• Provide expert support for remote robot deployments at customer sites worldwide. Your troubleshooting skills and hands-on assistance will ensure seamless integration and operation of our solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in robotics technology. Engage in continuous R&D efforts to explore new methodologies and technologies that can elevate the capabilities and performance of our AMRs. Implement findings to enhance existing systems and processes, keeping KABAM at the forefront of technological innovation.

Requirements:

• Education – Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering with a focus in robotics, mechatronics, or related fields
• Experience – Bachelors (with at least 3 years relevant experience) or Masters (with at least 1 years relevant work experience)
• Industry – Previous experience in a robotics company preferred
• Supervisory – Personnel management is nice to have. Project management/technical lead experience is preferred
• Language – English (required), Mandarin (desirable)
• Technology – C++/Python, Linux, git, ROS; SLAM, motion planning, or perception techniques

Key Accountabilities

• Provide Project Specific Engineering and Design support
• Develop new technical solutions, increase brand awareness in chosen market segments and expand our market share within the Applied Solution Industry
• In conjunction with the local regional offices, determine and execute the new technical engineering processes and systems to deliver the objectives agreed by the Solutions Hub and the country affiliates (PMI plan) and provide the framework and support to build solutions capabilities of all Stakeholders
• Support the implementation of process improvement and training plans to operate and grow the solutions capabilities of our solutions businesses across all our regions
• Support, coach and lead through change by way of new ways of working, tools, responsibilities and expectation mapping and measurement.
• Work closely with key engineers to ensure delivery in all key process and training activities.

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of Schneider Electric, Niagara Framework and other Platforms, Building Automation & Analytics Technologies.
• Proficiency in creating and editing Mechanical and Electrical drawings using AutoCAD and VISIO.
• Programming for Electronic DDC control systems / PLC Systems using Functional Block Diagrams.
• Knowledge of instrumentation sensors and field communication protocols, e.g Modbus, BACnet etc.
• Ability to understand and modify electrical diagrams and drawings.
• TCP/IP Networking and protocols
