Expectations of an Assistant Finance Manager

• Perform monthly, quarterly, annual financial close with high accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure that all management reports submitted within deadline. Monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting to be carried out with insightful analysis and developing process to ensure quality reporting variances to be fully explained
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting cycles, ensuring that the numbers are reliable, stable and accurate.
• Strong partnership with the commercial finance team on the full spectrum of financial planning and analysis.
• Working with internal and external auditors, ensuring policies compliance in place.
• Manage internal reporting requirements on various basis.
• Involved in developing process improvements and system implementation/migration

• Manage and deliver analytics benchmarking reports from conception to completion with actionable insights and recommendations.
• High interaction with external clients and manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Define detailed scope and methodology, creating and executing on the framework with appropriate data mining techniques
• Work with the broader Visa data science team to create data driven solutions.
• Focus on building data science visualization capabilities to solve client's problems.
• Drive innovation through using data science techniques
• Act as data science advocate within our partners, advising and coaching analytical teams and sharing best practices and case studies.
• Continually look at the environment to challenge our assumptions around new sources of data, potential analytics partners, tools, talent and infrastructure.
• Explore leading methodologies and best practices to other teams and importing successful methodologies from other international markets

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

OVERVIEW

The Finance Manager is responsible for all aspects of financial management, financial accounting, budgeting, statutory and internal audit, monthly closing and reporting as well as governance related matters pertaining to the charity’s IPC status.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage financial accounting and reporting functions

• Lead a small team of finance staff to maintain the accounting system and subsystems, ensuring accuracy of financial data
• Supervise the accounting process for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Asset Management, Grants and Donations, in accordance with accounting standards and principles
• Identify and apply accounting treatments to be adopted to meet statutory requirements
• Perform monthly close, quarterly close, GST return and prepare financial statements

2. Management accounting and budgeting

• Conduct annual budget exercise and present key findings on financial performance

3. Manage audits & governance related matters

• Liaise with external and internal auditors on all audit matters
• Ensure annual statutory and internal audits are carried out on time
• Ensure compliance to charity governance standards

4. Manage operational financial policies and risks

• Identify and assess operational and financial risks
• Develop and execute risk management strategies
• Ensure compliance to policies, procedures and processes

5. Manage & support stakeholders

• Liaise with statutory bodies and other external consultants for operational, reporting and financial matters
• Liaise with the finance committe and board for related matters

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on working knowledge of accounting systems and processes.
• At least three years’ experience in maintaining full sets of accounts and reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and GST regulations
• Working experience in the social service sector will be an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• PMP certification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and make sound decisions.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Engineering, or similar field or equivalent in a technical field.
• Candidate must be an OpenText-certified resource.
• Candidate must be PMP and Agile Scrum certified.
• Minimally 16+ years of working experience in the design and architecture of OpenText ECM project implementation.
• Working experience with one or more supporting technologies: Windows Servers, Unix Networking, and Databases.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in techniques for performance testing and tuning RDBMS query performance
• Technical Knowledge of Storage, Network and Compute (Windows, UNIX, Linux) environments.
• Good understanding of internet protocols, network and application security methods.

· Knowledge in project management skill in preparing monthly project report, site planning, monitoring & control process and project risk analysis.

· Knowledge in lighting technology and lighting design or electrical engineering fields.

• Responsible for the design and delivery of SAP technical solutions.
• Quality review of all technical requirements in projects and change requests.
• Ensure technical delivery in projects and change requests are completed on time and with no defects.
• Interacting with the project team to understand the requirements and help define solutions to address the client’s needs.

Team Management:

• Manage a global Application Managed Support outsource team to ensure that both in-house and outsource teams work efficiently together.
• Review and ensure the quality of project deliverables.
• Demo project/product release to key stakeholders
• Participate in defining technical direction and solution strategy.

Operational Excellence:

• Ensure SAP development, authorization, and integration changes are timely addressed and delivered within expected SLAs.
• Ensure continuous improvements to the technology and processes through proactive review and optimization initiatives.
• Recommend and implement major improvements that have significant benefits to IT or the business.
• Participate in defining technical direction and solution strategy.

Industry Experience:

• Automobile, Banking, Chemicals/Oleo chemicals, Logistics & Telecom, High-Tech, Paper Industry, Public Sector, Service Industry, Higher Education Learning (HER).

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Engineering, or similar field or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum, of 16+ years of SAP Consulting experience.
• Experience in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments, including cloud services.
• Experience and knowledge in delivering projects under the Agile and Activate framework.
• Participate and be involved in all presale activities of all SAP deals.
• Document SAP processes, procedures, and plans, including changes, upgrades, and new services.
• Knowledge of SAP BASIS details.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure setup such as OS Folder setup, SICF Services, Firewall rule etc
