As well responding to tasking by the Political and Economic Section, the Senior Policy and Research Officer will be expected to proactively identify issues of interest and concern to better inform the section’s understanding of Singapore and reporting to Canberra.

• Design and teach labs & practice modules
• Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP)
• Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

• A good degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous
• Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience in the Chemical Process Technology field would be preferred
• Operational Knowledge in unit operations (for e.g. Heat Exchanger, Distillation Column, Reactors, Cooling Tower etc)
• Practical knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Engineering standards including but not limited to ISO9001, OSHA and BSI etc
• Practiced in Chemical Process Design software (for e.g. HYSYS)
• Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to the University
• Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems
• Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Relationship Manager to manage and strengthen customer relationships, cross-sell products and services as well as portfolio risk management
• Facilitate and support Relationship Manager in completing the transactions especially in documentation of agreement and liaising between our legal and customer over the agreement terms
• Review and analyse customers’ financial performance for credit applications
• Closely monitor and keep track of latest development of existing accounts
• Ensure full compliance of rules & regulation set internally & externally

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or Economics
• 3 to 5 years of related work experience in Banking industry
• Strong analytical, presentation and negotiation skills with strong command of English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Description:

Review of system interfaces

• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve system interfaces i.e. between collection system(s), accounting system(s), banks and any other related systems such as systems managing donations, volunteers, user access and procurement.

Review of user access of accounting systems and bank portals

• Monthly, quarterly and yearly review of user access of various systems and different bank portals.
• Prepare reports for management’s review and approval.

Maintenance of helpdesk Email

• Average 25 emails per day

Fixed Assets Management

• Process capitalisation of assets, disposal, transfers.
• Fixed Assets Reporting
• Asset count

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance/Business
• Min 2 years’ experience in IT systems/Finance Officer/Accountant.
• Good understanding of FRS and SB FRS.
• Meticulous with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Hands on experience of Workday accounting system will be an added advantage.
