We are inviting applicants for the position of Senior Engineer, Electrical who shall report to the Head, Electrical. The scope and requirements are as follows:

RESPONSIBILITIES :

A. Current & future Project

• Ensure compliance to the prevailing Workplace Safety and Health Act and all relevant authorities’ regulations.
• Assist the Project Director and Head (Electrical) in all phases of Project Cycle related to all electrical systems and equipment including conceptual stage, drafting work scope for Owner’s Engineer consultant, system design and engineering stage, execution stage and right up to commissioning.
• Work with the Consultants for the timely completion and cost-effective implementation of the projects.
• Participate in the design review, implementation & commissioning of new power plants’ Electrical systems, including evaluation and recommendations for acceptance of the Consultants/Contractors’ Electrical systems engineering design and selection, procurement, and installation proposals for the power plant to ensure successful commissioning on time & within budget.
• Detect and provide prompt triggering of risks or potential risks to avoid/minimize delays or losses, recommend cost effective plans and monitor finances to ensure each phase of Electrical system works is started and completed on time and within the budget allotted.
• Attend meetings with various stakeholder to report on project progress against milestones and challenges faced
• Manage problems resolution processes with Head (Electrical) and consultants with respect to power plant project Electrical systems design, implementation, installation, and commissioning and resolve co-ordination/interfacing issues with other parties.
• Provide status updates to Head (Electrical) for report to MP’s Senior Management on progress of major Electrical systems project activity against the schedule, highlighting significant milestones and any issues/interfacing affecting or may affect project cost and schedule.
• Support Head (Electrical) to communicate, coordinate and collaborate with Contractor, external parties and agencies (SPPG, EMA/ PSO, JTC, etc) with regards to Meranti Power’s 400kV Switchhouse/ Substation, SPPG feeder connections, Gas Insulated Switchgears, Generator Step-up Transformer, Insulated Phase Bus Duct, etc. at different stages of the project (including Commissioning).

B. Operation & Maintenance Phase

• Be familiar with all regulations pertaining to the Electrical systems of the power station’s equipment, auxiliaries and common systems maintenance works and safety, e.g. Workplace, Safety & Health Act’s Regulations, including Risk Assessment and Mitigating Measures, Work Methods, Permit-to Work, Lock-Out-Tag-Out System in relation to maintenance of Electrical equipment in the power generation station.
• Prepare technical specifications for equipment electrical parts and work services when required. Work with Procurement to manage the procurement of Electrical parts and services.
• Coordinate all Electrical Maintenance programmes (Predictive, Preventive, Corrective) and liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure safe and timely completion of works.
• Be familiar with Predictive Maintenance monitoring techniques.
• Familiar with use of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Manage and optimize all planned plant/equipment electrical maintenance activities during minor and major overhauls and inspections
• Responsible for the functional tests and analyse the failures related to Electrical systems and components and recommends remedial/mitigation measures to prevent recurrence. Troubleshooting of faults/defects & carry out failure analysis to determine root cause.
• Study, evaluate and implement plant improvement projects to enhance overall plant reliability, availability and performance
• Supervision of Electrical maintenance contract works and prepare work procedures and risk assessment for all Electrical maintenance activities
• Manage day-to-day activities of Electrical team effectively; may be appointed as Reporting Officer to technical officers.
• Support Head (Electrical) to engage and manage Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW), Qualified Persons (QP), Competent Persons (CP) to carry out the required services and works.
• Track the year-to-date expenditure against the approved department Electrical budget; Support Head (Electrical) to prepare upcoming budgets.
• Prepare Department’s Electrical monthly report
• Design, coordinate and conduct training on Electrical matters

C. Other tasks

• Perform administrative tasks for the benefit of the organization as instructed by Head (Electrical) or Senior management e.g. secretariat for meetings, staffing duties, presentations, etc.
• Take part in organisation-wide activities in various capacities such as organising committees for events,
• Attend training/ events/ conferences that is in line with the organisation objectives and proceed to share the learning points for organisation benefit

REQUIREMENTS :

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Major Project Management experience with at least 3 years in power plants development, implementation, commissioning tests, preferably including operation/electrical maintenance of large power plants, specifically employing Combined Cycle Technology.
• Conversant with international and local codes, standards and recommended practices for design and selection of electrical equipment related to the above plants will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience in power plant projects’ tender preparation including technical/functional and commissioning tests specifications for C&I equipment, tender evaluations, contract negotiations, contract administration and contract supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical tooling support to Tool & Die (T&D) and production teams, ensuring tools meet quality and efficiency requirements.
• Collaborate with the Design department and toolmakers to improve tooling performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead the tooling team in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and skill development through training and guidance.
• Coordinate with production and planning teams to prioritize schedules and ensure tool readiness for production needs.
• Manage tooling modifications, resource allocation, and support the Principal Engineer in their absence.

Requirements

• Preferably Diploma in Precision Engineering or a related field.
• Technical qualifications in Tool & Die Making will be advantageous.

Project Engineer will be under Marine service line, the appropriate quality check, the compilation of accurate and customized results reports and other deliverables.

1. Working in workshop and vessels.

2. Good communication skills with Ship Owners and Superintends.

3. Good time Management and work Independently.

4. Attend and manage dealing with vendors, designers, classification, and flag statutory on engineering issues

5. Reviewing technical specification and drawings from designer meeting owner, class, and customer requirements

6. To perform any other duties & Responsibilities assigned by superiors from time to time.

7. Ability to demonstrate and implement cost -saving measures.

8. Ability to lead to manage project operations, schedule and specifications.

Requirements:

- Min 5 Years experience as Marine Industry.

This role supports the Project Manager. It involves the planning and co-ordination of site work. The person in this role needs to be good at communication and obtaining feedback. Instructions must be given to site personnel in a manner that is easy to understand and the person needs to ensure his instructions are understood correctly. This person will also help the Project Manager with any issues that may arise on site.

Job Scope:
1.) Plan and coordinate site work
- Attend meeting with Main Con and work with PM to prepare relevant information i.e. drawings for approval.
- After approval, update Site Personnel of requirements.
- Prepare necessary permits, drawings to get clearance from authorities.
- Co-ordinate with PM, Site Supervisors and Main Contractor.

2.) Attend site meetings
- Ensure approved construction methods are communicated clearly to site personnel.
- Communicate frequently with PM and Site Supervisors.
- Prepare and pass updated drawings to Site Supervisors.
- Go through drawings and permits and explain to site personnel.
- Clarify with PM if unsure.
- Make decision on behalf of PM if there is a need on site.

- Please note that site can be by the roadsides, at substations or in tunnels. There will be some exposure to the elements.

3.) Submit applications for wayleave to relevant authorities.
- Process for application: Road Opening application, NCE, Purchase of Services Plan, Prepare drawing submission
- Monitor and submit site progress reports
- Submit weekly schedules to client
- Submit monthly progress report to PM

Requirements:
- Possess certificate "Manage Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites (or Construction Safety Course for Project Managers)".

- Required to sign Permit To Work.
- Proven track record with SP group's projects in high voltage power cable installations.

- Candidates with class 3 license and/or their own transport will be viewed favourably.

- Working hours: Monday - Saturday, 8am-5pm

Ensure that all works carried out are of highest quality standard to meet customer satisfaction.

Execute the site testing and commissioning activities of the company to the satisfaction of the owners and builders

Liaise with Yard’s commissioning personnel to close out issues which will affect the smooth completion of project

Ensure that Punch List are corrected and Test Memo and Service Acknowledgement Report are signed

Ensure that site issues are highlighted to the Production Manager/Assistant Production Manager in order to come up with proper and timely solution

Inform the project engineers in the event of changes on design, drawings and system operation which may arise during the job execution.

Highlight to Project Engineers any changes that may be required on supplied equipment for quality improvement.

Ensure that the equipment used for commissioning are calibrated and maintained in good working condition to achieve quality standard.

Ensure non-conformity report is being raised as and when necessary.

Ensure that non-conformances are promptly resolved by means of investigation and corrective action.

You will be leading the mechanical testing laboratory.

- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in mechanical testing.

- Familiarity with international standards related to mechanical testing.

- Ability to work independently and improve job productivity.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills to discuss terms and conditions and update clients on job status.

- Capability to secure new jobs and contracts from clients.

- Lead a team of technicians to ensure jobs are completed on time and meet quality standards.

- Manage regular audits conducted by clients and the Singapore Accreditation Council.

The research and development engineer will focus on developing both essential perovskite solar module structures including electrical and optical properties to maximize device performance and specific commercial products using perovskite photovoltaic technologies for clients.

Key Responsibilities are listed as following:

• Research and Development: Design, develop, and optimize high-efficiency perovskite solar cells and tandem architectures, ensuring scalability and manufacturability.
• Material Science: Investigate and select perovskite materials, charge transport layers, and encapsulation techniques to enhance stability and performance.
• Device Fabrication: Develop processes for device fabrication, including solution-based and vapor deposition techniques, and ensure reproducibility at scale.
