Requirements:

• Degree in C&S Engineering, preferably from a university recognised by Singapore Professional Engineers’ Board (PEB), with strong competency in concrete, steel and foundation design.
• Able to perform concrete and steel structural analysis and design, and preferably also working knowledge in using application related to geotechnical design like Plaxis and Geoslope.
• Experience in marine facilities’ design would be an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years of relevant design experience in concrete, steel and foundation structures, drainage, sewerage and road works, preferably in a consultancy firm
• Candidate with more than 15 years of relevant design experience and/or a locally registered Professional Engineer will be considered for higher position
• Knowledge in Eurocodes, BS Codes. Knowledge in NFPA, API would be an added advantage
• Conversant with local authorities’ requirement, pre-consultations and submissions
• Experience in performing feasibility study, conceptual, FEED and detailed design, preferably, able to perform basic CAD drafting
• Possesses skill in project management, conducting presentation, effective communication and good report writing skills

Job Responsibilties

• Coordinating all O&M and plant outage activities to achieve safe, reliable and efficient operation of the Power Station
• Supporting and liaising with relevant Asset/Operation departments for long term power station turnaround planning
• Assist to implement modern O&M practices, tools and techniques for safe, reliable and efficient Power Station operation
• To fully develop and utilize the CMMS for efficient and effective O&M Planning practice and co-ordination with service provider for license management, backup, individual account management and software upgrade
• Fully utilizing the CMMS to ensure all O&M activities and experiences are recorded to comply with Station, legislative and company policy requirements
• To assist fully with and help implement all HSE practices and a Quality Management System as applied to the Power Station

The Climate Transformation Programme (CTP) aims to develop, inspire and accelerate knowledge-based solutions and educate future leaders to establish the stable climate and environment necessary for resilient, just, and sustainable Southeast Asian societies. CTP will generate knowledge and innovation across disciplines including climate and Earth science, ecology, materials science, artificial intelligence, humanities, social sciences, the arts, finance, health, and engineering. It will also translate state-of-the-art scientific results into real world solutions for Singapore and transfer these solutions to Southeast Asia (SEA) and beyond. The Earth Observatory of Singapore – Remote Sensing Lab (EOS-RS) at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore invites applications for a Research Fellow / Scientist / Engineer to support CTP Cross Cutting Theme 2 (Satellite Remote Sensing). The EOS-RS teams’ research covers SAR, multi/hyper-spectral remote sensing, LiDAR, and GNSS data for disaster response and hazard monitoring for earthquakes, volcanoes, and impacts of climate change.

EOS is a University Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University that conducts fundamental research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and climate change in and around Southeast Asia, towards safer and more sustainable societies. EOS-RS and CTP welcomes applications from qualified candidates who have interests and expertise relevant to the use of remote sensing for mapping, monitoring, and understanding the causes and effects of climate change. We are particularly interested in candidates who have expertise in analysing and interpreting satellite remote sensing data from Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and multi/hyper-spectral sensors for measuring ground deformation, mapping surface changes due to disaster events, and mapping ocean colours and ocean topography for carbon flux estimates.
