Job Description
1. Monitoring Production Processes: Ensuring that all manufacturing processes comply with established standards and regulations. This involves frequent inspection of equipment, facilities, and procedures to identify any deviations or potential issues.
Quality Testing: Conducting regular quality tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This may involve various tests such as sensory evaluation, chemical analysis, and microbiological testing to ensure that products meet safety and quality specifications.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of quality tests, inspections, and any deviations observed during the production process. Documentation is essential for traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identifying the root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. This may involve working closely with production teams to address process inefficiencies or equipment malfunctions.
Training and Education: Providing training to production staff on quality control procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory requirements. Ensuring that all employees understand their roles in maintaining product quality and safety.
Continuous Improvement: Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and optimize production efficiency. This may involve implementing new technologies, adopting best practices, and staying updated on industry trends and advancements.

Requirements:
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree or higher in food science, food technology, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field. Some positions may require specific certifications or training in food safety and quality management systems.
- Experience: Previous experience in a quality control or assurance role within the food manufacturing industry is often preferred. This could range from entry-level positions for recent graduates to mid-level or senior roles requiring several years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations: Familiarity with local and international food safety regulations and standards is essential. In Singapore, this includes regulations set by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) as well as international standards such as ISO 22000 and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
