JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems or software.
• Conduct regular stock counts (e.g., cycle counts, annual stock-taking).
• Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
2. Warehouse Operations:
• Daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking BOM for production, assembly and service application.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage.
• Ensure labels, tags, and ID are properly in place for easy ID and to locate the parts.
• Optimize space utilization and warehouse layout for efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers and transporters for incoming and outgoing shipments.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for incoming shipments, inventory, and transactions.
• Generate periodic inventory and warehouse performance reports for accounts management.
4. Quality Control:
• Inspect quality and compliance with specifications.
• Manage defective or damaged goods, including returns or replacements.
5. Team Management:
• Supervise APS staff, ensuring adherence to safety and warehouse standards.
• Ensure smooth workflow and meet production deadlines.
6. Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and warehouse policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse.
• Implement security measures to prevent theft or loss.
7. Coordination with Other Departments:
• Work closely with procurement, sales, and production teams to align inventory levels with business needs.
• Address and resolve inventory or BOM issues promptly.

REQUIREMENTS

Main purpose of the job

The primary role of a Global Category Manager – Sugar, Adjuncts & Coffee is to lead and implement procurement strategies, vision, and governance across the organization. This position heads the Procurement team, fostering unity across regions and promoting the sharing of best practices and knowledge. Alongside adhering to established governance, policies, and processes, the role involves protecting the company's assets and reputation through effective internal control systems, procedures, and legal compliance. The role is also responsible for driving sustainable procurement and procurement innovation strategies, as well as creating and implementing category strategies. Responsibilities:
A) Tendering and Estimation
· Prepare accurate and comprehensive tender documentation, including bills of quantities, form of tender, etc.
· Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimations
· Analyze tender submissions and make recommendations based on project life cycle cost, quality, and project requirements.

B) Contract Management
· Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory, and contract requirement.
· Monitor contract variations, claims, and progress payments.

· Tertiary education in Quantity Surveying, or related field.
· At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the building/ construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing contracts and calling tenders.
· At least 2 years of relevant experience in Procurement.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy in cost estimation.
· Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, cost benchmarks, and best practices.
