JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION PROFILE:
Based in: Singapore
Job Site: Tuas
The candidate will be part of our Procurement team responsible for sourcing Indirect Materials and consumables for Production usage and working with new and existing partners to ensure timely delivery.
The candidate will be responsible to coordinate and lead collaboration meetings with affiliate companies and internal stakeholders.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying the organization’s purchasing needs for indirect materials.Indirect materials are Equipment, Machinery parts, Fabrication parts, including equipment calibration service, machinery modification etc.
- Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities, and delivery timescales.
- Window person to Suppliers and their counterparts.
- Work with vendors and internal stakeholders on the daily operational purchasing duties.
- Explore, select, evaluate, review, and manage the performance of suppliers.
- Prepare accurate and timely reporting of monthly cost savings.
- Sourcing, negotiating, and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Manage PO issuance, and monitor shipments, and delivery dates.
- Undertake any ad-hoc roles assigned by the superior.
ABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing of machinery and parts would be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of RPA, Power BI would be a plus point.
- Energetic, Self-driven, and possess a good working attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to cope with pressure and adapt to situations.
- Good Analytical skills.
- Able to work well in a team.
- Good organizational skills.
- Able to speak and understand basic/intermediate Japanese will be a plus point.
