Job Summary:
The successful applicant will be responsible to procure good and services required by the school in accordance with the Procurement Policies and Procedures. To provide seamless support for end-users through collaboration with cross functional teams. The role reports to the Procurement Director.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply and other related fields
- Minimum 5 years of Procurement and Sourcing experience in Indirect categories (Marketing, Event Management, General Supplies, Professional Services, Technology)
- Strong knowledge of procurement systems, policies, procedures, and best practices
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in Source to Pay Procurement systems and E-Sourcing tools
- Effective communication skills to promote understanding and building relationships with end-users, internal stakeholders, cross functional teams, and vendors
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of integrity and accountability
- Pleasant disposition with good interpersonal skills
- A good team player who actively contributes to the team and willing to help others
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the sourcing activities (RFQ and Tender Management) to ensure supplier evaluation and selection complies with the Procurement Policy. Conduct benchmarking and market assessment to drive cost and quality improvement.
2. Provide guidance and support to end-users on Procurement policy and procedures, Recommendation paper and contract management.
3. Proactively engage internal stakeholders to identify business requirement, sourcing approach and timely execution.
4. Collaborate and align with cross functional teams (Finance, Compliance, Legal) to provide end-to-end support for end-users.
5. Develop the supply base to ensure a database of qualified and competitive vendors.
6. Manage vendor’s performance and deliverables to ensure quality and timeliness of goods and services supplied.
7. Analyze procurement spend data to identify sourcing opportunities and areas of improvement.
8. Contribute to the success of the Procurement department.
