JOB DESCRIPTION

• Maintaining the purchasing policy and ensuring that all purchases adhere to it.
• Liaison with other departments, particularly Project, Finance, QA/QC departments.
• Source and negotiate with the Vendor to meet targeted cost savings of the projects.
• Prepares Commercial Bid Evaluation and issue Purchase Order.
• Support the Project Management Team (PMT) on all logistics issues.
• Liaison with Client's Logistics department, understand the requirement, to ensure smooth accomplishment of projects.
• Create a plan or time-table for the movement of material to meet project schedule.
• Liaison with Vendors on the shipping information and tracking the progress of delivery.
• To check the submission of shipping document from the Vendor and get Client's clearance prior the shipment.
• Obtain more quotations when necessary for major shipment.
• Provide quotations to PMT for issuance of Logistics Requisition Form (LRF).
• Responsible for the issuance of shipping document (Packing List, Delivery Order, Commercial Invoice, Custom Certificate and Certificate of Origin).
• Coordinate with the warehouse on all crating and packing of materials.
• Arrange the transportation of purchased materials, conduct receiving activities, including storage of goods.
• To keep records of all goods movement.
• Matching of Invoices (Forwarders/Courier).
• To keep records of stock level if there is any.
• To work closely with the storeman.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing required materials, services and suppliers in both domestic and international markets. You will play a critical role in managing procurement activities, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Source for required materials, services, and suppliers in the domestic and international market.
• Understand purchase requirements and source accurately and efficiently.
• Identify and engage with global prospective suppliers to foster beneficial relationships.
• Understand market trends and seek to improve cost efficiency.
• Perform daily procurement activities such as RFQ/RFP, negotiation of commercial terms, quotations evaluations and recommendations.
• Coordinate procurement related matters with requestors and vendors.
• Prepare and conduct tender process.
• Propose new vendors and evaluate existing vendors.
• Contracts management.
• Working with legal counsel to review and prepare contractual documents.
• Address procurement related queries from internal management and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement procedures and processes, based on best practices, to ensure smooth and streamlined process.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Procurement Department within the Construction, Data Centre, or Network industry.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management).
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• A proactive team player who can work collaboratively to achieve organizational goals.
• Capable of working independently with strong negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses excellent problem-solving abilities. Excellent team member, proactive in managing issues and possess sense of responsibility and ownership in his/her work and results.

Job Description:

• Sourcing and communicating with suppliers to secure purchases and aim of converting them into partnership suppliers
• Negotiate optimal purchasing terms and conditions
• Generate Purchase order, report and maintain purchasing master data in system
• Analyse and determine the most suitable deal from various suppliers
• Bring in new leads and identify opportunities from new regions
• Develop and maintain relationships with current/ potential suppliers
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned by reporting manager

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess either a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, and other relevant fields with minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experiences
• Well-equipped in Microsoft Excel Skills
• Good critical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Outspoken and good communication skills; able to communicate across departments
• Works well in fast-paced environment

The purchasing trainee will be responsible for:

• Administrative work
• Suppliers panel management
• Launch of social audit and follow up on the corrective actions plans
• Some purchasing projects => Biddings, negotiations and awarding projects (under direct responsibility of the Purchasing Manager)
• Possibly some contracts settlement and negotiations (under direct responsibility of the Purchasing Manager)
• Prepare reports – Analysis

The purchasing portfolios (segments/families) covered will be depending on the workload at the given moments.

In parallel, he/she could possibly participate in the long-run strategic projects such as :

• Regional biddings on key items
• Sourcing

Position: Purchasing Assistant
Location: Sembawang/Changi/Tuas
Salary: Up to $2700
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5.45pm

1. Procurement:

• Source for quotes, prices, and availability of goods/services.
• Submit Purchase Requests (PR) via internal systems.

2. Logistics Support:

• Manage stores, office equipment, and facilities.
• Handle inventory, estate management, and equipment servicing through internal systems.

3. General Duties:

• Assist with events, escort suppliers, register guests, set up venues, and supervise contractors.

4. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Proficient in SAP and Excel.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
• Having knowledge of stock management and SAP is advantageous.
• Strong communication to communicate well with various departments.
