Job Scope:

• Oversee all purchasing activities across the company, including retail, food service, and branded distribution items.
• Optimize inventory management processes to minimize costs and boost organizational productivity.
• Curate a product mix that supports company's growth in food service and retail, enhancing competitiveness in the market.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying and onboarding new vendors.
• Review procurement operations to identify opportunities for improving product quality and delivery timelines.
• Perform cost analysis and establish performance benchmarks for continuous improvement.
• Develop risk management strategies to address potential product shortages and mitigate losses.
• Lead and manage the purchasing team, delegating tasks to departments as needed.
• Collaborate with the legal department to ensure contracts and agreements are favorable and align with company objectives.

Requirements:

• At least 8–10 years in procurement, ideally in FMCG or food sourcing (meat/dairy experience preferred).
• Import knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive cost savings initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in SAP will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Material planning and procurement
• Responsible to review RFQ, stock status and customer demand.
• Raise Purchase Requisition and subsequently issue Purchase Order to supplier upon receipt of customer’s PO.
• Follow up with supplier to ensure correct parts are shipped out from supplier on time.
• Process customer’s order and ensure that parts are delivered to customer on time.
• Establish good rapport with MRO supplier; and at the same time provide excellent customer service to MRO customer.
• Timely feedback of procurement and order processing issues to immediate Superior.
• Compile and maintain records of quantity, cost, and type of material received, storage and issued out.
• Reconcile information on material requisition, invoice, and shipping notice to material receipt or issuance to verify accuracy of stock.
• Report & review rejected material together with Business Manager & MRO supplier.
• Generate biweekly/ monthly report.

Purchasing:

-Obtain quotes to various vendors upon receipt of Request for Quotation.

-Closely follow-up and ensure timely receipt of quotations.

-Extensively source required products / services in the most economical way.

- Operate Pallet Jack and Pallet Stacker to keep warehouse neat and tidy

- Assist Driver to unload goods to the outlets.

- Maintain housekeeping and safety for the warehouse area

- Liaise with freight forwarder and handing import shipment documents

- In charge of financial month end & year end physical stocks take listing

- Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the management

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process data entry and filling.

• Updating of approved vendor's listing and vendor evaluation forms.
• Prepares monthly report for petty cash.
• Placing of orders for food service, indirect materials and re-order level of stock levels.
• Sourcing of better priced and quality products.

• Possess at least a Diploma in any field.
