Job Summary

The Contract Specialist will act as a key member of the Supply Chain (Procurement) team and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts or subcontracts. About the Role

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Sourcing, quotation and price comparison
• Generate purchase order, track delivery and update orders in a timely manner
• Ensure purchase order, invoice and delivery order are attached with supporting document
• Verify supplier invoice quantity, unit rate and system data entry integrity
• Mange company assets
• Filing, administrative and any other ad hoc duties assigned by superior

Prerequisites:

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level qualification
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word
• Proficient in ACCPAC sage system is an added advantage
• A good team player with initiative and sense of responsibility

Job Responsibilites:

• Requisition fulfilment for raw materials, workshop tools and office supplies
• Generate purchase orders, oversea delivery schedules and maintain purchase records
• Manage suppliers, resolve discrepancies or quality issues on purchases
• Inventory management with workshop/storeman

Job Requirement:

• NTC/ Diploma preferably in Mechanical/Precision engineering
• Min. 2 years of experience preferably in Oil & Gas/engineering
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SAP knowledge will be an added advantage

Procurement Manager Responsibilities:

• Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.

• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.

• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.

• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.

• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.

• Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.

• Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.

• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

• Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.

• Preparing procurement reports.

Procurement Manager Requirements:

• Proven experience managing supply chain operations.

• In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).

• Management and leadership skills.

• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Min Diploma (in Supply Chain/Business Management &/or Engineering)
• Min 3 year's experience in purchasing roles (in Construction industry is an advantage)
• Knowledge in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is an advantage
• Efficient, good organisation & communication skills
• Motivated to work in challenging, fast paced, and result-driven environment
