Job Scope:

• Oversee all purchasing activities across the company, including retail, food service, and branded distribution items.
• Optimize inventory management processes to minimize costs and boost organizational productivity.
• Curate a product mix that supports company's growth in food service and retail, enhancing competitiveness in the market.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying and onboarding new vendors.
• Review procurement operations to identify opportunities for improving product quality and delivery timelines.
• Perform cost analysis and establish performance benchmarks for continuous improvement.
• Develop risk management strategies to address potential product shortages and mitigate losses.
• Lead and manage the purchasing team, delegating tasks to departments as needed.
• Collaborate with the legal department to ensure contracts and agreements are favorable and align with company objectives.

Requirements:

• At least 8–10 years in procurement, ideally in FMCG or food sourcing (meat/dairy experience preferred).
• Import knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive cost savings initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in SAP will be an added advantage.

• Vendor Sourcing and Pre-Qualification

1. Source and assess suitable vendors.
2. Conduct vendor pre-qualification exercise.

1. Receive purchase request (PR), or quotation/tender request from colleagues.
2. Prepare quotation / tender invitation letters and issue to shortlisted vendors.
3. Prepare tender documents (with reference to past tenders and new requirements).
4. Call for quotations or conduct tender exercise.
5. Collate quotation/tender clarification questionnaires from PMD/PM and issue to participating vendors.

• Negotiations and Appoint Vendors

1. Compare quotations received, negotiate pricing and tabulate cost comparison table for PMD/PM.
2. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO), Works Orders (WO) or Letter of Award (LOA) timely.

• Others

1. Filing and storage of related documents.
2. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the company.

Duties of Procurement/ Sourcing Specialist:

• Source for both Direct and Indirect Material, as well as Equipment categories.

The proposed manpower will be required to operate on-site at the three primary locations, and
may need to make ad hoc trips to other camps as part of work requirements. The scope of work for the
team, but not limited to, is as follows:

• To manage and account common assets and inventory at the three primary locations.
• Activities include the managing of database and process asset/inventory receipts, transfers and disposal via Authorities IT systems.
• To administer the receiving, storage and distribution of assets at storehouse.
• To conduct cyclical stocktake for common assets and assets held within Authority premises.
• To support timely response to employees’ enquiries on logistics matters.
• To assist supervisors with periodic audit checks and preparation of audit reports.
• To meet the quality service standards and customer satisfaction ratings as stipulated by the Authority.

Requirements:

• Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident
• Diploma in Business Management or A-Level/ITE Certificate with relevant logistics experience
• Strong service excellence mind-set
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software/applications (e.g. Excel)

Location: Central & West (Has to be comfortable working at 3 different locations)
Salary: $2600 -$2800
