• Lead supplier identification/ selection/ segmentation process;
• Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of industry practices/ capabilities and market intelligence that capture expertise / best practices and leverage the expertise to deliver incremental cost reduction and drive significant client business value;
• Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement, analyze market drivers, and cost structures, and support supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions;
• Deliver cost reduction goals and provide strong support to the stakeholders;
• Develop Category management strategies;
• To check daily open Purchase Requisition;
• To source for vendors and get a quotation for open Purchase Requisition (for new or existing material code) and info to pass to Junior for PIR, SL, and PO creation;
• To liaise with the master data officer and engineers for any old stock code with insufficient info/ no purchase history;
• To liaise with the vendor for any changes of spec details, obsoletion of products, and urgent delivery requests;
• To source alternative vendors for urgent delivery requests and stock supply;
• Liaise and coordinate with the agent for any overseas delivery arrangement, paperwork, permit application, etc;

Pre-requisites:

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in procurement;
• Possess at least a Diploma preferably in Business Administration; International Trade & Business, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or any Technical Field;
• Proficient in Excel (Intermediate – Advanced level), Word, PowerPoint, and SAP knowledge;
• A certificate or associate degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be an advantage.

Job Description

• Put up technical statements and requirements for all aspects of Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (ICA) Works, including network development and associated field engineering works.
• Execute procurement functions, including strategic sourcing and supply contracting works.
• Communicate and work very closely with the Procurement Manager and ICA Head for preparation of the invitation of the request for Proposal and administering of the purchase requisition and award consent.
• Maintain and update all procurement documentation and records.
• Support the Instrumentation, Control and Automation Head of Department in budget monitoring.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience. Applicants with more than 8 years of working experience will be considered as Senior Procurement Executive.
• Experience in Environmental Engineering, particularly in water, wastewater treatment, and Waste-to-Energy (WTE) industries, with a focus on SCADA and DCS is preferred.
• Good oral and written command in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with auditing procedures and compliance standards.
• Commercially orientated with good negotiation skill.
