Job Description

· Contribute to high-quality research and development work in TCOMS laboratory through physical experiments including:

o design of scaled physical test models, such as maritime vessels, offshore rigs, marine renewable platforms, and aquaculture systems for testing in TCOMS Ocean Basin.

o generation of detailed design, production, assembly, and as-built drawings of test models.

o Structural assessment of the test models as well as other support to be used in the experimental setup.

o Work with a team of engineers and technicians on model fabrication and modification, calibration, instrumentation, and experimental setup.

o enhance the measurement of models’ behaviour and response by use of appropriate sensors like load cells or custom strain gauges.

o document design processes, methodologies, and results.

o contribute to process enhancements for improved efficiency of research work.

· Perform research in the following areas:

o Offshore hydrodynamics

o Coastal Protection

o Structural response and health monitoring of Marine & Offshore platforms and floating structures

o Fluid-structure interactions

· Collaborate with internal teams, affiliated research institutes and other relevant stakeholders in proposal preparation and submission.

· Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or other related disciplines.

· Preferably 3 years of relevant research/industry experience with competent knowledge in some of the following areas:

- Offshore engineering, marine engineering, marine structures, hydrodynamics, naval architecture.

· Prior knowledge in the following numerical methods/software/programming languages will be an advantage:

- CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD

- Engineering tools such as SESAM and ABAQUS

- Programming codes such as Python, MATLAB, or equivalent.

· Model experiments in wave flumes, wave tank or ocean basin.

· Good interpersonal and communications skills.

· Ability to adapt and work effectively as members of a team.

Responsibilities

Strategy Development:

• Use AI technologies such as machine learning and deep learning to intelligently optimize investment strategies and improve the performance of strategies in actual transactions.
• Extract predictive signals from financial data through both traditional statistical analysis methods and cutting-edge machine learning techniques.
• Formulate and apply mathematical modeling techniques to enhance existing trading strategies and perform innovative new research with the goal of identifying and capturing trading opportunities.

Data Analysis：

• Collect and analyze large financial datasets (market data, news, social media, etc.).
• Work with large data sets to predict and test statistical market patterns, combining knowledge of systems, mathematical techniques, and trading to identify the best places to improve the trading system.

Financial Modeling:

1. To act as a Site Supervisor appointed by the Qualified Person (QP) in accordance with the Building Control Act.

2. To assist the QP(Supervision) in carrying out supervision works on site

3. To prepare inspection and test plans which are relevant for the supervision of the projects.

4. To conduct quality control of all civil and structural, as well as, mechanical, electrical, and landscaping works.

5. To inspect and advise for compliance on temporary works, including instrumentation reports by Contractor.

6. To support in public relations works.

7. To supervise and keep independent records of day works including overall and part works programme.

8. To issue site memo to Contractor for recording of observed safety and quality non-compliance with Contract or Authorities, Services Agencies requirements.

9. To attend project meetings and draft meeting minutes.

10. To carry out site supervision and inspection of works including any off-site manufacturing/testing as instructed by the QP(Supervision) and/or S.O. so as to ensure that works are constructed to the required quality, accuracy and standards.

11. To monitor progress of the works on site including material supply to the site and at any off-site manufacturing/testing facilities and report delays immediately.

12. To provide standing supervision in compliance with the relevant Building Control Regulations.

13. To maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done, including independent record of test, inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, material and equipment on site, labour, dayworks, provisional quantities etc.

14. To check that the Contractor executes preliminary items.

15. To check service routes and Contractor’s setting out and report any deviations to the QP(Supervision)/S.O.

16. To verify reports and claims submitted by Contractors.

17. To record all variations as instructed or approved by the S.O.

18. To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the S.O./Client/QP(Supervision).

19. To check drawings including as-built and documents and report discrepancies.

20. Report on site safety, security and housekeeping.

21. Verification of the Client’s Permit To Works (CPTW) checklist completed by the Contractor including:

i. Review the CPTW and keep records of relevant documents such as Authorities/Agencies

approvals, services detection plan and etc. on site.

ii. Make yourself aware of the contractor daily site works and remind them to provide the CPTW

for your verification prior to commencing works on site.

iii. Inform the Contractor in-writing of any non-compliance identified by the CPTW and ensure that

the Contractor rectify the non-compliance prior to permitting works to commence.

iv. Inform the S.O./ QP(Supervision) immediately if the Contractor proceeded works on site without a valid CPTW.

22. Any others duties specified under Building Control Acts and relevant scope

23. Any other work incidental to the above and/or reasonably to be inferred from the nature of work to be carried out by the Service Provider Field staff; and,

24. Such other work as may be agreed from time to time.

25. In addition to the principal duties detailed above, the Field Staff is expected to be vigilant and monitor the Contractor performance in progress, site safety, services protection, security and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

· Git Repository and Toolchain Management: Administer multiple Git repositories across different locations and develop automation toolchains using Python and scripting languages.

· Manage and Configure Firmware SDK: Oversee configuration management for firmware SDKs, ensuring modular design, code consistency, and automated testing prior to releases.

· Lead Automation and CI Integration: Implement and manage automation pipelines, particularly with Jenkins, and integrate CI solutions throughout the SDLC to enhance efficiency and automation.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field.

· Proven experience in firmware SDK configuration management with a focus on best coding practices, such as clean and modular design, and automated testing prior to software/firmware releases.

· Strong expertise in managing Git repositories, including ensuring code consistency across two or more repositories hosted at different locations.

· Strong proficiency in:

o C: For firmware configuration management.

o Python: For managing Git repositories and creating toolchains.

o Scripting: Proficiency in batch, shell, or similar scripting languages.

· Comprehensive understanding of the SDLC and the ability to integrate CI solutions into each phase to achieve high levels of automation.
