Job Description

As an Integration and Validation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless integration and functional reliability of hardware and software systems within Project WATT. This role is distinct from traditional software quality assurance, focusing on validating the compatibility and performance of complex, interconnected systems in real-world deployment scenarios. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all components—hardware, software, and interfaces—work together as a cohesive and reliable solution.

This position requires expertise in system-level testing, cross-component integration, and troubleshooting technical challenges across multiple layers of the product. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to design robust integration strategies, create realistic test environments, and deliver validated systems ready for deployment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system-level integration testing, ensuring all hardware and software components function seamlessly together.
• Develop and implement test cases and scenarios that simulate real-world deployment conditions, focusing on system compatibility and reliability.
• Identify and resolve integration issues by conducting root cause analysis and collaborating with hardware and software teams.
• Design and maintain test environments that replicate operational conditions, enabling accurate validation of system performance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for system-level validation, ensuring all components meet functional and performance standards before deployment.
• Document and report testing results, integration challenges, and resolution strategies, providing actionable insights for system improvement.
• Support the deployment team in verifying system readiness and addressing any issues during live operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in system integration and validation to continuously enhance testing processes.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Technical, Computer Engineering. At least 5 years of experience in system integration or in complex system testing and deployment will be prioritized.
• Proven expertise in validating multi-component systems, including hardware-software interactions and interface testing.
• Ability to design and manage test environments that replicate real-world deployment scenarios.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address system-level issues in complex setups.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, enabling effective reporting and cross-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with IoT systems, EV-related technologies, or similar multi-layered systems is preferred.
• A proactive approach to ensuring system compatibility, reliability, and operational readiness.
