• Conduct Quality Management System /Technical / Process Audit to qualify; periodic assessment to mitigate risk to Customer and VDL.
• Provide support on the Supplier Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process (Quality-related actions, indices, and feedback) to ensure alignment between critical suppliers and VDL to meet VDL requirements/targets.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) with suppliers to improve Quality and prevent Quality issues.
• Review overall supplier Quality status during Weekly Supplier Quality Department meetings to control supplier Quality and mitigate concerns.
• Present updates on Supplier performance to management and the customer focus team at the Customer Performance Forum.
• Provide support on New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings (Supplier Quality-related) to understand customer requirements and translate them to related suppliers.
• Support and participate in the company continuous improvement program.

It will also fulfil the objective of NTU in developing energy storage system and novel renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop overall battery management scheme according to system performance requirement
• Design and develop software of battery management system
• Design and develop hardware and PCB layout of battery management system
• Design and develop state estimation algorithm of battery management system
• Design and develop balancing control strategy of battery management system
• Conduct simulation test and debug of developed software of battery management system
• Conduct simulation test, layout design, PCB design, manufacturing, and testing
• Conduct simulation test of the designed algorithm, balancing strategy.
• Responsible to prepare design progress document and final project report

Job Requirements:

• Masters degree in electronics, control, electrical, or similar
• Research or working background in lithium-ion battery product development and production is a must.
• Experience in technology development for lithium-ion battery management system is required.
• Candidate must be familiar with design requirements on control, state estimation, balancing of battery packs

Job Description:

1. Performing F.A inspection and inspection of parts and products with desktop measuring tools / CMM / Smart scope at the incoming / outgoing / in-process gate.
