The Rapid Response Damage Assessment (RRDA) program is seeking an Engineer or a Senior Engineer to assist with the modeling and analysis of vessel stability and hull strength for ships and offshore floating structures and verify their compliance with applicable Rules and Regulations.

· The RRDA program provides 24/7 technical assistance to ship and offshore floating structure related emergencies such as grounding and collision. When activated, RRDA is an extension of the vessel management team’s own response capability, focusing on the measure of changes occurring to hull strength, stability and the extent to which risk of pollution can be mitigated. This new position is expected to work along with a group of experienced engineers to respond to client service requests when emergencies occur or participate in routine vessel emergency response drills.

The RRDA work by nature of its complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in a particular field of engineering or science. Through broader and more technically challenging work assignments, the ideal candidate will develop a thorough understanding of policies, methods and procedures.

• Carry out tender reviews and order reviews
• Handle technical clarification for all proposals. Work as an integral part (with technology, engineering, production) in developing proposals, pricing strategies and customer presentations
• Prepare price calculation and tender documentation
• Ensure that the specifications offered to the customer are within the capability and capacity of the company
• Ensure that the customers’ requirements are adequately conveyed and reflected in engineering, manufacturing and installation
• Follow-up projects monthly and update MIS daily

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering
• 5 ~ 10 years of sales and customer services experience preferably in Chemical & Petrochemical / Oil & Gas industry.

Role Profile

This technical solution focused role is accountable to setup applications and database and ensure their optimal performance to support various GovTech projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup the application and database
• Perform analysis and review software application functionality and design and suggest improvement to enhance the design to cater for new services
• Consult with software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance
• Administer the application including user account management and configuration of the application
• Generate Test Plans and Test Procedures for User Acceptance Tests (UAT)

The candidate would be responsible for ongoing network optimization and technological development for our global IP/MPLS network which support layer2 and layer3 VPN services. • Responsible for the deployment and management of the global MPLS and VPLS (E-Line, E-LAN and IP-VPN) infrastructure.
