• Knowledge and work experience in one or more of the following processes & handling such processes equipment - 1) Flip Chip bonding (Thermosonic, Thermocompression and etc) OR 2) EVO die bonder, EVG and Suss process equipment OR 3) Flex Attach (Flexible Printed Circuit Board Bonding), Solder Jetting/Laser Wire Soldering OR 4) SMT (e.g. solder printing, component pick&place, AOI, SPI and reflow)
• Knowledge on adhesive or epoxy or other bonding material is an advantage
• Experience in optical components, active alignment and high accuracy bonding process is preferred

• Work closely with external vendor and internal team to deliver active alignment (or test) process for new optical module in engineering phase (small quantity)
• Establish process and metrics
• Conduct process and machine bring up
• Fine tune and sustain operation in engineering phase
• Conduct post-build follow-up such as FACA (failure analysis and corrective action) on yield loss, process improvement and etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree/ Master in Engineering, Physics, Materials or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years R&D experience in manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in either 1) optics attach (active alignment) process or 2) optical functionality test of optical devices (for example camera, projector, range finder, flash light, proximity sensor and etc)
• Experience with developing new process and equipment for new optical devices
• Experience in tooling-up existing machine for new optical devices
• Clear and effective written and communication skill

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
• Manage and supervise the administration works
• Office based for paper work and site visiting for site progression
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
• Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, and report regularly on project status
• Supervise ongoing site activities closely
• Liaise with Clients, Consultants and Authorities for management of project
• Responsible for on-site technical / engineering / administrative matters
• Involve in project planning, implementation, and close monitoring of projects
• Review the relevant standards and test requirements before commencement of the jobs
• Organize and provide staffing, equipment and materials for testing
• Manage and minimize operations costs (e.g. manpower, maintenance of equipment, overtime, etc)
• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
