In this role, you will collaborate with our team of world-class engineers and researchers with diverse backgrounds in areas such as robotics, mechatronics and autonomous navigation software stack.
Responsibilities Includes:
• Awareness and knowledge of sensors, communication technologies, or control devices for various automation solutions
• Use of appropriate communication protocol such as Ethernet, CAN Bus and wireless
• Design, develop, or implement control logics or algorithms for electromechanical or pneumatic devices or systems
• Conduct studies to determine the feasibility and performance benefits of new mechatronic systems
• Calibrate sensors, automated systems, control systems, or system components to maximize efficiency of automation
• Consider safety, reliability and accuracy of the system at all times
• PLC programming for embedded logic programming
• Design Unit, Integration and Regression test cases
• Test commissioning and result documentation and reporting using appropriate means
Skill set required:
Essential:
• BSc/ Eng level or higher qualification or above in mechatronics engineering from a respected organisation
• 2+ years’ experience in the field.
• Experience and understanding of CAN, Ethernet and other communications technologies
• Experience of controller programming languages: structural or ladder logic
• Able to understand electrical systems and schematics
• Familiarity / working with sensors and sensor calibration
• Good English spoken and written skills
• Desire to learn and improve all the time
Desirable:
• Experience and working knowledge of automotive systems
• Experience / knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience of programming languages C, C++
• Experience IFM PLC
