As a Validation Engineer, you play a pivotal role in our organization by ensuring that each product release surpasses quality expectations. Your responsibilities encompass understanding potential system failures, designing validation scenarios, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Acting as a gatekeeper in a dynamic product cycle, you will independently plan and execute tests, maintain automation scripts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently plan and draft test specifications, methods, and instructions against product hardware and software performance requirements.
• Maintain, update, and develop test automation scripts to enhance testing efficiency, data collection, and analysis.
• Oversee Product Design Validation, Testing, and Documentation to ensure alignment with internal quality standards.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders on test equipment setup, availability, and specifications.
• Manage the entire testing process, from planning and development to execution, inspections, root cause analysis, documentation, and failure analysis.
• Develop and maintain validation schedules, coordinate test resources, and communicate status/blockers to program managers.
• Conduct ad-hoc troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of test robots.
• Analyze system requirements and implement system verification tests.

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent experience in electronic engineering, software, or a comparable engineering discipline.
• Basic working understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Systems.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Embedded C, SQL, and/or Python is advantageous.
• Knowledge in developing Proof of Concepts is preferred.
• Assertive and creative individual with excellent problem-solving skills, able to thrive in a highly ambitious and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary, Agile team, using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

Job responsibilities

• Be part of the project team to build innovative Security solutions for Homeland Security, Smart Cities and Critical Infrastructures.
• Be responsible for the technical/solution designs, code development, and component test execution to demonstrate alignment to the product/functional specification of the solution.
• Collaborate with product/solution architects to create, implement and maintain the product/solution development roadmap.
• Ensure all work adheres to our software development methodologies and processes
• Thoroughly document design to ensure the usability, supportability and maintainability of the developed
• Provide strong and timely support to project team and Site deployment, operation and maintenance in ensuring 24/7 system operational needs

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience and expert knowledge of full web application development lifecycle of scalable micro-services-based architectures; including tools, best practices, continuous deployment, dependency/complexity management, scale/performance tuning, monitoring, resiliency, etc.
• Strong knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns
• Experience in leading a software team is good-to-have
• Experience in SCRUM/Agile software development methodologies
• Proficiency in the following language/framework: Java, Spring boot
• Proficiency in Angular, HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, and Apache Kafka
• Experience with relational database
