Qualifications:

• Proficient in English.

This position is for permanent 12-hr night shift, 2-3-2 basis.

About the role

To support R&D department in conducting laboratory tests, sample preparation and executing technical and quality control documentation/testing while co-ordinating with various departments to ensure smooth running of the organisation.

Roles & Responsibilities

Sample Preparation

• Receive and label all raw materials brought into the lab for accountability.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals.
• Prepare materials for experiment and assist R&D activities..
• Assist R&D Engineer to conduct experiments and operate equipment.
• Assist in the procurement and placement of all consumables, equipment and fixtures.

Measurement & Calibration

• Perform periodic calibration of equipment and reporting of any malfunctions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and maintenance of all testing equipment.
• Ensure proper housekeeping of laboratory on a daily basis.
• Maintain and record equipment faults.
• Troubleshooting of analysis methods.

Perform Laboratory Data Analysis and Reporting

• Recording and reporting of experimental results and trends.

Quality Control

• Perform in process quality check and physical test on in-process materials & finished products
• Testing of properties of aerogel products and co-ordinating with 3rd party laboratories.
• Prepare QC documents for all batches in production department

Compliance with Safety Protocols and Local Regulatory

• Assist with the application and maintenance of all necessary governmental licenses related to the laboratory.
• Assist workplace safety initiatives.
• Implement and manage waste disposal and coordinate with chemical disposal companies.

Requirements

• ITE / Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biotech, Lifesciences and Pharma etc.
• Years of work experience: At least 1 - 3 years.
• Training will be provided.
• Knowledge of safe handling of chemicals
• Possess basic computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.

• Lead large-scale and complex testing efforts, ensuring that software products meet the highest quality standards.
• Own the test strategy, test execution, and test automation for critical software projects.
• Drive the adoption of best practices for testing and automation across the organization.
• Lead and mentor a team of testers, fostering collaboration and ensuring knowledge sharing.
• Provide expertise in areas such as application performance and security testing.
• Take ownership of the test automation framework and continuously improve it based on feedback and emerging trends.

Experience and Skills Needed:

• More than 6 years of experience in software testing, including a deep focus on exploratory testing and automation.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive test strategies and innovations across teams.
• Advanced knowledge of Agile testing practices and tools.
• Extensive experience with a variety of testing tools and frameworks, including those mentioned above.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy Development:Assist Product Owner and Business Analyst in crafting user story acceptance criteria.
  Analyze and decompose complex software systems, designing a comprehensive test strategy.
  Research emerging technologies to develop innovative test automation frameworks.
  
• Test Execution & Automation:Develop test suites, scenarios, and cases to ensure robust quality assurance.
  Take a risk-based approach to test automation, ensuring optimal coverage.
  Conduct time-boxed exploratory testing to identify potential issues.
  Maintain regression test suites in the nightly QA build and continuously refine the smoke test suite in the Development CI environment.
  
• Collaboration & Testing Leadership:Lead system integration testing in collaboration with other system owners.
  Manage user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring all testing requirements are met.
  Oversee the defect lifecycle and manage test artifacts and repositories.
  
• Continuous Improvement:Drive continuous improvement in agile testing practices and tools.

Experience and Skills Needed:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in exploratory testing and regression test automation.

• Certifications such as Certified Software Testing Professional (CSTP) or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) are highly beneficial.
