Job Description

The Network Engineering team is responsible for the implementation of approved network architecture and designs.

Under limited supervision, the team assists in the planning, forecasting, implementation and identification of resource requirements for network systems of varying (moderate to high) complexity.

As a member of the team, you will develop and implement network enhancements while following corporate standards.

You will be sought after for recommendations for improvement and assists in staff development efforts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support triage, troubleshooting, and repair of production networks across Data Centre and elements. Follow defined procedures and utilize tools to collect data and resolve network issues within defined SLAs. Engage with 3rd party vendors, OEMs, and field services to facilitate resolution.

• Services include server repair, circuit repair, and network repair - facilitating fault identification, isolation, troubleshooting of physical/logical issues, issue resolution, and configuration updates by following existing procedures.

• Escalate to Tier 2 and Operations Engineering leadership to resolve complex or high priority issues.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, or automate tasks.

• Assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and implements approved methods of procedure.

• Acts as a mentor to junior staff

• Adheres to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.

• Knows, understands and follows company policy.

• Proactively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

• Performs other duties as requested by supervisor

Requirements

1-5 years of experience.

Must have real world experiences managing and troubleshooting network –

specifically WAN networks globally (ideal) or country wide networks ( multiple locations networking )

• Technology brands to have experience of are Cisco, Arista (Cisco being the most important)

• Advantageous to have Linux experiences (1 year +, bonus if they have Linux type qualifications)

• In terms of their networking knowledge want to see o WAN / global routing protocol knowledge & experiences i.e. BGP, eBGP, WAN routing, end routing, edge networking, global routing experiences o CCNA (cisco qualification)

• Working environment experiences. Worked in or working in a operational environment / NOC (networking Operations Centre)

CCNA minimum, CCNP advantageous.CCNP

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the design and development of video cloud based solutions;

2. Responsible for collaborating with developers and solving the problems encountered by developers during integration with video cloud services as well as the quality issues in the production service process;

3. Responsible for management of suppliers' demands, sorting out the issues in the integration with suppliers, promoting the development and optimization of technical specifications, and reducing service problems;

4. Have overall awareness, help establish a Quality Service (QS) evaluation system, improve the efficiency of problem handling, and effectively promote the resolution of quality and efficiency problems in the research and development process;

5. Organize structural learning points and consolidate developer handbook to form a common knowledge base for the solution team.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or other related majors, with solid fundamental computer science knowledge, strong logical thinking and learning abilities, and understanding of software design patterns;

2. Good professional accomplishment and self-drive, strong technical enthusiasm, able to continue learning and self-improvement;

3. Hiving excellent data analytical skills, issue identification ability, with prior experience in full-chain data collation and data-related tools;

4. Good knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols (eg. TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.). Familiar with audio & video multimedia protocol, CDN distribution acceleration, RTC and other technologies is preferred;

5. Experience in project management, video cloud related experience or enterprise integration experience is preferred;

• Check through drawings and submit RFIS toconsultants.
• Prepare reports and material tests.
• Liaise with subcontractors,surveyors,and project site to make sure that project is carried out in time and smoothly.
• Arrange inspections with Resident Engineer/Resident Technicl officer.

• Independently complete the use case design of the responsible module under the existing process and take responsibility for the quality
