Job Description

• Position Title: Desktop Support Engineer (L1 / L2)
• Working Location: West (Jurong / Tuas)
• Working Hours: 5 days (Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary up to $3,300 + AWS + Bonus + Transport Allowance
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
• Work with Third Party Vendors to remediate complex AV issues as needed.
• Provide timely communication on issues status and resolution.
• Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2010, Cisco Jabber, another authorized desktop application.
• Should have basic knowledge of Mac operating system to support Apple PC users.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware.
• Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers.
• Performs remedial repairs on Desktops, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, and workstation hardware/software.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 1 year of IT experience or equivalent
• Candidates with CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) qualifcations or equivalent would be an added advantage
• Broad experience in IT with basic understanding of Networks, Servers, Audio/Visual, Smart Devices and Telecoms
• Experience with Windows 7-10, Microsoft Active Directory, utilization GPOs, MS Office 365, PC hardware installation and troubleshooting, Enterprise anti-virus solutions or Helpdesk ticketing systems is preferred

Job Description:

• Estimate, plan, schedule, coordinate, and supervise the setup, installation, and maintenance of the following equipment:
  - Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM)
  - Slurry Treatment Plant (STP)
  - ECM, Air Supply System, and Batching Plant
  - Tunnel Ventilation and Communication Systems (RFID, Telephone, Fire Fighting, Gas Detector)
  - Locomotive, Chiller Plant, Gantry Crane, Dewatering System
  - Water Cooling Tower and 22KV Sub-station
• Prepare and write Power ON documents for TBM and the 22KV Sub-station.
• Plan the power distribution system for the bored tunnel and the entire site.
• Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of TBM, electrical systems, locomotives, batching plant, cooling towers, and other critical tunnel facilities.
• Estimate and order electrical equipment and spare parts as needed, ensuring specifications are met.
• Prepare for the TBM's initial and main drives.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tunnel construction, particularly with tunnel boring machines (TBM) and underground project management.
• Proficient in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of tunneling and construction equipment, including TBM, slurry treatment plants, ventilation systems, locomotives, and dewatering systems.
• Familiarity with power distribution systems and the preparation of Power ON documentation for complex equipment (e.g., 22KV sub-stations).
• Working knowledge of CAD and other relevant engineering software.
• Proficient in general office software for project management, scheduling, and reporting.
• Certified in health and safety standards related to construction and tunneling environments.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and safety practices for underground construction.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in coordinating diverse teams.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders, including LTA, QPS, QPD, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for rapid response to technical issues.
