Job Summary:

The M&E Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs relating to building and engineering projects. This includes new builds, refurbishment, and maintenance projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Management:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, materials, and installation methods.

We are seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors for our Tender Department covering the engineering scope in plant engineering, marine/coastal engineering, land civil engineering and sustainable engineering. You will have the opportunities to participate in tenders for public & private, local & overseas projects, in both commercial as well as technical proposals. Your exposures will include site visits, taking off quantities with software, procurement, pricing, brainstorming for value engineering and attending tender interviews.

The Snr Quantity Surveyor, oversee the works of a group of Quantity Surveyors, playing a critical role of managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures, seeking to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Many of these are specified by statutory building regulations, which the surveyor needs to understand and adhere to. Snr Quantity Surveyors keep track, throughout project progression, of variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability estimates and manages the cost relating to building project.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Draft and compile comprehensive tender documents including specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
• Conduct detailed cost estimations and evaluate tenders to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
• Manage contract agreements and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Develop detailed quotations for clients, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
• Verify that all required documentation is complete and submitted in a timely manner to meet deadlines.

Job Purpose:

- The incumbent is required to assist the Tender & Contract Department to co-ordinate, review, and prepare submission for tenders; and administrative works upon award of contracts. S/he will also be required to attend site briefing and/or tender interview.

- The incumbent will also be required to assist the Project team in preparing, reviewing and submission of projects’ quotations, claims, supporting documents for projects’ claims, claims / variations review and justification with client and any other necessary administrative supports.
