This role is similar to a (junior) chief of staff to the Co-founder (COO&CFO) of a Pre-A startup. Notwithstanding the job description listed below, your role would be anything and everything that the Co-founder is currently in charge of. DO NOT apply if you want a well defined routine, job scope, and if you prefer to know what will happen in the coming month. Also do not apply if you only want to do sales, strategy, and other "high level" stuff. There will be a mixture of everything that is not too technical (everyone else in the company is highly technical) and I need someone to offload my work. There will be times when you have to work on construction sites like everyone else in the company. It is hot, dirty, dusty, and overall not a pleasant experience. We do anything and everything necessary based on the ever changing situation. Either engineers with a strong business acumen or business school graduates with reasonable engineering interest can apply.

Fabrica AI is creating a future where ideating and developing a robot for any task takes days, not years. We believe that by training end to end controls in simulation with reinforcement learning and above that iterating hardware designs, we can automate the whole development process.

To validate our approaches for our AI system and to collect data, we invented an automatic tile grouting robot that boosts productivity by up to 5x and are piloting it on construction sites in Singapore managed by Woh Hup, BHCC, Gin Chia, Soilbuild, Chan Rong Fen, and Dragages. Tile grouting is the process of filling up the gaps between tiles after the tiles have been laid. We invented a patented robot that is able to automatically grout and clean tile gaps with only a press of a button.

We’ve raised over 3m USD from Hoxton Ventures, Credo Ventures, our Professor from Cambridge University, Woh Hup, ffVC, and the owner of BHCC (listed construction company). We’ve 2500sqft of space in Singapore where we have over 20 team members, and 1200sqft of space in Czechia where we have our software team.

1. Assisting with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial candidate screenings.
2. Coordinating and scheduling interviews with job applicants and hiring managers.
3. Assisting in onboarding new employees, including paperwork and orientation.

17. Connecting manufacturers and our product team to build and iterate on our prototype, creating new avenues for manufacturing at scale, manufacturing for reliability
18. Website and other marketing/public relations management
19. Any other operational duties

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent professional to join our risk management team. As part of the risk management team, you will be a key team member managing the firm’s risk and regulatory compliance matters which include but not limited to business, financial and security.

Responsibilities

Staff Independence

• Manage and organise annual declaration of independence for staff
• Conduct annual independence testing
• Checking of independence for new joiners

Advisory

• Attend to day-to-day queries relating to client onboarding and continuance, independence, and anti-money laundering
• Review basic legal documents such as engagement letters and non-disclosure agreements
• Update firm’s policies based on regulatory changes

General Compliance

• Carry out annual and regular testing to ensure compliance to firm’s policies
• Organise information for reporting to the group and regulators
• Organise and prepare information for internal testing and regulatory inspections
• Organise, facilitate and deliver risk management related training

Other ad hoc duties as and may be assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Business or relevant discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in an international public accounting firm. Audit experience would be preferred.
• Possess keen interest in the international development of risk management policies with a good understanding of regulatory compliance.
• Good understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, auditing standards and accounting principles
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Curious and motivated, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, presenting actionable insights to senior management through detailed monthly and quarterly reports.
• Drive the development and execution of innovative sales strategies to achieve the company's growth targets.
• Collaborate with credit and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in lending operations.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships, delivering exceptional customer service with a client-centric approach.
• Inspire and guide the sales team by fostering a supportive environment, providing regular feedback, and encouraging professional growth.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends and potential areas for business expansion.
• Oversee the setting and tracking of realistic sales goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Organize regular team meetings to share updates, address challenges, and celebrate successes to maintain team motivation.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the financial or lending sector, with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing and mentoring sales teams to achieve performance objectives.
• In-depth knowledge of Singapore’s regulatory framework for lending and financial services.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others effectively.
