Project Overview

SMART CAMP (Critical Analytics for Manufacturing Personalized-Medicine) is an interdisciplinary research programme in Singapore (CREATE international research campus and innovation hub) and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). SMART CAMP addresses key technology bottlenecks in cell therapy manufacturing: (i) critical quality attributes (CQA) of safe, effective cell therapy products; and (ii) integrated process analytics to monitor and modulate those attributes. Our efforts are focused on allogeneic and autologous cell therapy products, including but not limited to cell sources including adult stem/progenitor cells and immune cells for treatment of specific cancers, tissue degeneration, and autoimmune diseases.

The successful candidate will support interdisciplinary projects focused on translating candidate safety Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs) to improve the safety of cell therapy products and patient safety. An experimental Postdoctoral Researcher Position in the group of Dr Ahmet Avsar at Material Science and Engineering Department of National University of Singapore is available to develop novel spintronics devices based on magnetic topological insulators.

The research involves advanced nanofabrication in state-of-the-art research facilities, and magneto-transport measurements utilizing low-temperature cryostats. It also includes data analysis, physical interpretation of the results and writing research articles. More specifically, spin surfaces of magnetic topological insulators will be probed and novel spintronics devices based on these intrinsic magnetic topological insulators will be developed.
