• Design and fabricate devices incorporating 2D materials to explore novel electronic properties

Measurements and Data Analyses

• Utilize advanced characterization techniques, such as electron transport measurements, atomic force microscopy (AFM), Raman spectroscopy, etc, to analyze the behaviour of the heterostructures
• Interpret experimental results and provide insights into the underlying physics governing electron transport in the studied materials

Publication and Presentation

• Prepare high-quality research papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals
• Present research findings at conferences and seminars to the scientific community

Collaboration and Teamwork

• Collaborate with fellow researchers, graduate students, and principal investigators to foster a multidisciplinary research environment
• Contribute to the mentorship of graduate students and junior researchers

Qualifications

• PhD in condensed matter physics/nanoscience or any other relevant field
• Excellent understanding of the basics of condensed matter physics and good knowledge of the field of 2D materials
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Experience with cryogenic equipment and electron transport measurements
• Nanofabrication skills and experience with van der Waals heterostructures assembling are highly welcome

What you will do :
• Manage the showroom to maintain a professional and welcoming environment, including stock checking and coordinating inbound/outbound shipment packing and unpacking.
• Oversee pantry supplies and handle administrative tasks such as mailing, courier services, and mobile data activation.
• Manage the event calendar to ensure timely scheduling and organization of activities.
• Perform front desk duties, including greeting visitors and responding to inquiries.
• Provide support during buying days and events, including setup, logistics, and coordination.
• Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as required to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

1. Manage full sets of accounts and support day-to-day accounting operations.

2. Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to management.

3. Prepare and review closing journals for responsible entities.

4. Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements.

5. Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e. AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)

6. Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support the Client’s financial activities.

7. Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines

8. Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required.

9. Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirements, audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal.

10. Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.

11. Prepare or review payments for staff claims and vendor invoices.

12. Prepare and check bank reconciliations and intercompany postings

13. Prepare monthly/ quarterly GST/ VAT reports for filing

14. Assist in annual budget process

15. Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or an equivalent professional certification

2. At least 5 years of financial or accountant experience

3. Meticulous and able to meet deadlines

4. Proficiency with financial software, MS Office

5. Preferred but not a must:

1)Experience in Quickbooks

2)Experience in a Big 4 firm

3)Consolidation of accounts experience

6. Fluent command of English and Mandarin (written & spoken)

• Assist FI Team to conduct in-depth KYC onboarding for banks and non-bank financial institutions.
• KYC support for various annual review/ transaction/ compliance queries for the banks’ existing FI/NBFI clients.
• Analyze screened adverse news to assess FI/NBFI clients’ Money Laundering Risk.
• Perform credit analysis on selected FI/NBFIs and conduct relevant industry outlook.
• New Counterparty ID creation.
• Take care of the bank’s own KYC package and provide support for various counterparty’s FI questionnaires.
• Provide FI Business activities, Events coordination support (Invitation, Schedule design and confirmation with guest, Logistics, etc).
• Vostro/Nostro Account Agreement/Documentation Negotiation with counterparty (on the job training ).
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
