Chemical Market Analytics (CMA), by OPIS, a Dow Jones Company is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to work as a part of a team covering market research and analysis of the Asian Aromatics market. Key activities will be maintaining, updating, and expanding the CMA database and models.

You will:

• Oversight of content, forecast methodology and quality.
• Provide ongoing analysis to the Aromatics services, generating and analysing trends, cost, and demand dependencies for products involved.
• Take ownership of the charts and tables that are published routinely and update them as required.

You have:

• General chemical industry knowledge is essential, and previous experience of working in the Aromatics sector will be preferred.
• 3+ years industry experience, preferably in the chemical industry.
• An engineering degree is essential. MBA a strong plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure to achieve set deadlines and with a high attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

• Assist in develop potential projects for the above.

• Communicate with the gas distribution companies in which Tokyo Gas Asia has invested and help enhance and expand their revenue stream by providing energy solutions to achieving energy efficiency.
• Examine profitability and risk of potential investment opportunities.
• Lead and implement tender processes.
• Write reports and obtain necessary approvals for/from HQ in Japanese.

Requirements
