Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute, NTU is looking for a Research Fellow with expertise in heterogeneous catalysis to develop improved catalyst formulations for conversion of plastic waste into carbon nanotubes and hydrogen.

The project is funded by National Environment Agency, Singapore to address one of the largest problems in waste management – the problem of plastic waste pollution. A significant fraction of plastic waste has substandard quality for mechanical and chemical recycling even after sorting and cleaning. The Research Fellow will use pyrolysis-chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technology for converting these plastic waste streams (specifically, contaminated and rejected plastics) into multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and hydrogen. The role of Research Fellow is to develop catalysts that will allow to reduce catalyst cost and increase carbon nanotubes yield to make the process more economically viable.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be undertaking full research work and administrative duties during the term of employment within the following areas:

• Catalyst formulation and testing in pyrolysis-CVD process;

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is recruiting a Research Assistant for the Respiratory and Infectious Diseases Programme, Laboratory of Antimicrobial Resistance and Drug Discovery under Professor Pablo Bifani.

Malaria continues to be a leading cause of morbidity and mortality associated with an infectious disease, accounting for 249 million malaria cases and 608,000 deaths in 2022 alone. The lab is interested in the understanding of the mechanisms of drug resistance associated with antimicrobials, including antimalarial drugs. The job entails deciphering the mechanisms of resistance to existing and newly identified antimalarials. Understanding the structure-function relationships of biomolecules is an active area of research due to its fundamental importance in biology, physics, and engineering. The emerging field of Mathematical AI for Molecular Sciences is proposed for molecular representation, featurization, and learning. We are interested in developing physical models using graphs, simplicial complexes for molecular representation, featurization, and learning, particularly in the context of nucleic acids such as DNA, G-quadruplex. The results from the research will provide key insights to understanding the structure-function relationships of biomolecules.

The Yong research group is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Research Fellow with the ambition of producing high quality research that can be published in high impact journals. The Research Fellow will be involved in research design, data analysis, model development, numerical simulations, and report/paper writing.

The Research Fellow is expected to perform state of the art numerical simulations using computing resources from National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore. The incumbent has freedom to design the nature and type of deep learning simulations.

This is a contract role (12 months) for a Warehouse Assistant located in Pioneer. Our client is Freight forwarding service in Singapore, you will be taking the responsible on for managing the flow of goods within the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations from receiving to dispatch. This includes tasks like checking and storing inbound items, picking and packing outbound orders, and preparing cargo for shipment. They also handle value-added services such as repacking, cleaning, and performing minor maintenance on spare parts. Inventory management is a key part of the role, involving regular cycle counts, stock assessments, and minor rework on pallets or products as needed. Additionally, they ensure all documentation and processes comply with the company’s internal controls and standard operating procedures. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment is essential for this role

Qualifications:

• Possess a Forklift License.
• Minimum 1 years’ relevant working experience.
• Can physically move up to 20kg
• Generally required to walk a lot

Working Days and Timing:

5 Working Days + 1 Saturday per Month: Monday to Friday 8:45am to 5:30pm
