The role involves integrating expertise in computational modeling, machine learning, materials synthesis, and characterization to develop cutting-edge, sustainable solutions in energy systems. This position supports NTU MSE’s mission to lead world-class research that addresses pressing global challenges in energy storage and environmental sustainability. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to design and develop advanced electrode materials and catalytic systems for small molecule electroconversion, focusing on ammonia.
• Utilize computational tools, such as Materials Studio, along with machine learning techniques (Python, Matlab), to simulate and optimize material properties and reaction mechanisms.
• Synthesize and characterize materials using advanced techniques, including XRD, Raman spectroscopy, TEM, and XAFS, to evaluate structural stability and performance.
• Perform electrochemical testing and develop protocols to assess catalytic and energy storage efficiency.
• Integrate experimental results with machine/deep learning and theoretical insights to identify and understand new reaction mechanisms.
• Publish findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences to enhance NTU’s academic reputation.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met and contribute to the the project research goals.

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related field, with a strong focus on electrochemistry, catalysis, or energy materials.
• Expertise in material synthesis, advanced characterization (XRD, Raman, TEM, XAFS), and electrochemical testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in computational modeling tools and machine learning (Python, Matlab) for predictive and analytical purposes.
• Demonstrated research background in designing and optimizing electrode materials and catalytic systems for energy applications.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our Project Managers and Commissioning Manager ensuring the smooth execution of projects and commissioning activities from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Managers & Commissioning Manager in tracking project tasks, deliverables, deadlines, and action items.
• Handle the commissioning & service order process, from quotations to invoicing.
• Assist the Commissioning Manager in manpower mobilization scheduling.
• Prepare all necessary paperwork for manpower mobilization, including visa applications, yard entry permits, safety inductions, course certifications, flight tickets, and accommodations.
• Coordinate and facilitate warranty claims for faulty equipment (RMA).
• Consolidate timesheets received from project sites.
• Prepare packing lists for materials required for various jobs.
• Take meeting minutes and generate status reports for project stakeholders.
• Assist the Project Managers, Commissioning Manager and other team members with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or relevant qualification in a related field.
• Proven experience in a project management support role (or similar) is a plus.
• Strong spreadsheet and database literacy (e.g., MS Excel, MS Access) is a must.
